“You do?!” Mon’Ter looked at the old arch mage with eyes wider than an open door. “Wait, how? I thought you said that tracking him down wouldn’t be easy for you at all?”
“Did I?” Randus said with a smug expression, obviously full of himself. “In any case, you needn’t worry about tracking him down. He’s headed to Banul city right now, even as we speak.”
“Oh, so are we!” Mon’Ter caught on.
“My, that simplifies things,” Leonidas grinned. “I’ll kill the fucker the moment I see him once we arrive there.”
“Give me a rip and tear at him too,” Mon’Ter said as he raised his claw up to flex his fingers.
“It’ll get to that, but firstly, we need to arrange everything,” Randus said as he walked on over to the room’s center. “Sereia, Elyenora, Samuel, reunion is over, we have work to do.”
“Wha–” Samuel was taken aback by Mon’Ter’s predatory comment. “Of course you can’t eat it!”“Aww…” Mon’Ter’s eyes drooped a little bit in disappointment. “It’s been so long since I hunted something and ate it, though. I miss deer meat.”“No means no! What are you even going to do? Eat the blade?” Samuel felt like facepalming.Elyenora chuckled at the whole conversation. “Hahaha!” she laughed a little, then commented on them. “In any case, that sure is interesting… You said it’s a baby deer? Maybe it's some sort of spirit?”“You think?” Samuel raised a brow. “So would that make this a sort of… spirit bound weapon?”“Ohh! That could be the case!” Elyenora exclaimed.“I don’t think I’ve ever heard of such a thing before… Perhaps durin
“Huh?” Mon’Ter felt a weird sensation envelop him, and he pulled away from the key necklace. His eyes returned to their previous colors, and he tilted his head in confusion. “What was that just now…?”“Mon’Teeeer!” Elyenora then shouted to him from across the room.Mon’Ter heard her and quickly turned away from the necklace to go and face her. He saw her waving to him as she made her way to him, all decked out in her golden armor from the neck down to the tips of her toes, and with a cape similar to feathery wings on her back. Of course, her crown like helmet stood tightly locked under one of her armpits, as she didn’t want to be uncomfortable with wearing it right now.“Ely! Welcome back! Wow, you look awesome!” he smiled her way full of glee.“Hahaha! Thank you, Mon’Ter!” She laughed as she arrived before him, standing in front of him and letting him get a b
After Samuel performed his little stunt at the training arena location with the new sword he’d come to own. He and his party members gave one last look to all the artifacts before deciding on their new get up for the up and coming battles.Elyenora decided she would take an extra blade, just in case she happened to lose hold of the Silent Wind rapier, as well as one of the other two necklaces which Mon’Ter had looked at previously. As for Sereia, she only rummaged through the rings and ended up choosing two for herself. Anymore, and she said she’d feel uncomfortable wielding her blade at the same time. She also took an interesting pair of leather boots for herself, which she said would allow her to move faster in or around water.Samuel, on the other hand, did a full makeover. Not only did he get to enjoy a new sword for himself, but he switched out his armor, his shield, and even his helmet. He went for a perfectly round shield which covered h
The group of party members soon arrived atop a large, circular patch of burnt grass where the magic circle would have stood. They found themselves near the river side amidst a small forest. It was a place that nearly everyone present knew well enough, whether from rumor or from going here personally. This was the royal hunting grounds, where king Elduin would often go hunting with his men. It had been so for many generations of rulers, and the bountiful biosphere around here made for a perfect place of fun and excitement for those of royal blood to simply ‘hang out’, as they say.As for how they knew this was that exact place, it was quite obvious as that was the only nearby forest through which the Lise river passed through, and they were supposed to be near their destination upon the teleportation’s completion. As it stood now, they were perhaps only a short ways away from the capital city of Benulis, and would have to move upstream to reach Banul city.
The gateway was not an issue in the slightest. The guards stationed there were of course, in awe to see the princess suddenly return with her entourage of people, especially who some of them were, but with her status of a royalty and their status of nobility, they only needed a few moments to enter into the city.“P-Princess Elyenora! And so many other figures…!” one of the guards nearly gurgled on his own saliva.“Hello,” she simply said with a smile. “May you open the gate for our entry?”“Y-Yes of course!” the other guard stuttered as he started opening the gate.“I… Uh… Welcome back your highness!” unsure of how to act, the other guard attempted to sound upright and straightened himself out.She smiled at his little attempt at courtesy, then said. “Why, thank you!”Upon welcoming her and the others, the other one of the guards stationed at the ga
Guided by Finn, the royal knight captain, the party members all made their way through the castle without any further issues or awkward meet ups. Though, it was eerily quiet in every hallway that they passed through, and there was a total lack of knights and guards patrolling them which became peculiar to everyone, even Mon’Ter thought it weird since he’d seen people patrolling these places in the memories of Samuel and Elyenora.“I trust you’re not taking us to something as boorish as a trap?” Randus raised a brow at Finn, voicing out what most of the party members were thinking up until then.“No, of course not,” Finn turned around to face Randus. “That would be stupid! If we’re gonna do a battle between our two groups later I want to get a chance to fight you guys fair and square!”“You are so upfront about it and without a semblance of tact either…” Randus sighed, once more voicin
Within the instant after Aydian’s clap of the hands, Elyenora opened her eyes to find herself and her companions in the midst of a large encirclement of knights. For as far as the eye could see, the terrain was made up of plains and nothing as much as a bump in the ground. As for the sky, it had a strange cubicle look with a few deformities here and there, though aside from that it was as clear as can be.“Where are we…?” Elyenora felt her heart rate go up, she started turning left and right, front and back but no matter where she looked there didn’t seem to be a single gap in the formation of these knights. The party hadn’t expected something like this to occur at all.“Looks like now we know where all those knights and guards had gone off to,” Samuel grimaced, pointing his shield ahead of him and attempting to enter a formation alongside the others.“Who was the genius that said Finn wouldn’t take us
“We kill all of them to get to him,” Mon’Ter’s voice reverberated throughout the entire space, being heard by everyone that surrounder him and his comrades. It caused several laughs to erupt, which then continued into multiple more and more until the entire enemy legion made a laughing stock out of Mon’Ter’s words.“Bold words from someone bound to die,” Gandar, the royal court mage, snickered at his words. “Who even are you, boy? Another knight? Not with that get up you’re not. Perhaps a mage? Shall I teach you some proper manners in speech?”“I’d actually like that,” Mon’Ter said truthfully. “But it’s not the time to be learning manners.”His hand extended and his fingers grew as his nails elongated into sharp swords capable of piercing the thickest of hides and slashing the hardest of steels. The strange development caused many to put their guard
