Elyenora’s wind covered visage brought fear unto the assassins, even the Noble Class Leonard had to admit this was above his capabilities to handle. This girl who had a wounded leg could move this quickly? This is already bordering on the higher ends of Noble class... To put her speed into perspective, the words, “You’re next.” only sounded when Elyenora had already appeared before Crux with her rapier pulled back and ready to pierce through the short assassin. Crux tried to counter by putting his dagger in front of Elyenora’s trajectory, however after a few strikes his small blade shattered to pieces. He, much like Leonard, had been using a Dwarven crafted weapon with a rather disturbing enchantment that made people blow up into bloody puddles upon contacting it, despite that Elyenora’s blade was far superior in all terms when compared to it. Korgen, the head blacksmith of Benulis kingdom’s royal court, was no short of a miracle worker even amongst dwarves after all. His crafts w
After the other two rare class assassins followed the third, Willson’s, instructions and lured Mon’Ter to him, he led the monstrous man to the hideout and was promptly knocked out after which Mon’Ter went inside. Mon’Ter had passed through many halls and rooms, finally arriving at the third large room which was the biggest of all, he had passed the previous battleground where all the fights from before had taken place and arrived here. Walking through the hall and entering inside the room filled with magical runes as well as carvings that were depicting warriors battling an eye like figure. In the center of this room was a huge fountain like altar with a pedestal on top, obviously there to serve some kind of purpose. The details of the room mattered little to the one who had entered it however, since through the thick darkness of the area he could see the visage of a chained girl at the far end of the room. She was placed near the other exit, just left there to lay with her face
Aurelingis didn’t have anything to make out of this, the man whom had only a singular eye now had two? What was the meaning of this? Suddenly, as the white flame was musing on what was going on, a roar sounded throughout the darkness of the spirit’s vision, a roar that shook the vicinity and caused the appearance of shockwaves which sent gales of wind everywhere inside the room. Mon’Ter was angry. He now stood up, mouth opened slightly to reveal his razor sharp teeth which lusted for blood, his face was now adorned by two eyes instead of just his usual right one. Inside of his left eye socket had appeared an eye similar to his other, it was in the shape of a slit but had a color more akin to a fiery orange rather than to a crimson red one. Not only that, he now had a left arm as well. It was identical to his usual right one with a black exterior and claws. The final changes to Mon’Ter’s physique were the fact he now had a pair of jet-black draconic wings on his back, spanning a
Mon’Ter dragged himself across the hallways that continued past the large room he’d decimated previously. Nearly all of the assassins were now dead, the ones still alive were on the outside of the dungeon which meant only Jalid Talherd remained by himself. Mon’ter didn’t know that, yet he didn’t care in the slightest at this moment whether there were many more enemies or just one. He simply followed Elyenora’s presence and scent towards her destination in as quick of a pace as he could. “Ely... Be safe...” Mon’Ter muttered to himself, huffing as he walked. Visually he didn’t seem to have any sort of wound on his body due to the phoenix flames from earlier, however the strain his body took after using all of those abilities was evident. He himself had said it, this was not something he’d experienced before and was thus not used to it at all, his body had not accustomed to such power and wanted to make him sleep and rest. After all, with just one attack, nearly half of the undergro
Upon Jalid Talherd’s words sounding, the jade chains holding Mon’Ter suddenly swung up to the ceiling along with him and smashed his body there with full force. The moment after that he was accelerated downwards and brought down to the floor which cracked upon contact with a small crater forming. Shana who had been looking at this then screamed in denial, “No!” It was as if those small embers of hope she’d found were once more being kicked around to stop their flames, leaving her to despair and await her impending demise. All she could do was watch as this exchange repeated tens of times until Mon’Ter was turned into a bloodied pulp, these chain’s strength was no joke either as the Dungeon was fortified heavily yet they managed to crack both its floor and ceiling with utter ease. Mon’Ter was soon hung in the air with his arm and two legs outstretched, they were tied tightly by the chains while his head leaned down with blood slowly dripped down his brow. “Any last words, my dear
“I am Vladaroth!” The voice that came from Mon’Ter’s mouth spoke with indomitable power, it gave the receiver of the words a deep impression of whom he was dealing with, yet still he found it hard to believe. Looking onto the supposed king of vampires with fear in his eyes as his face was held by Mon’Ter, blood seeping down from his cheeks due to having his face pierced by the pale hand’s fingernails, Jalid Talherd thought to himself in horror. ‘Vladaroth...? THE Vladaroth...? How can it be...? He should have died centuries ago...!’ “Now, human, may I ask thee of a simple question?” The one known as Vladaroth spoke through Mon’Ter’s mouth, a face contorted in anger showed onto his visage. “Mmgh... Mmhmm...” Muffling a nod, Jalid Talherd hoped to live through the night to see dawn once more, however in his mind there was little chance of that. “Splendid,” Vladaroth smiled, “Tell me, why have you gone and attacked me? Your gaze tells me you know exactly who I am, yet you dare
Within the darkness, Vladaroth’s hands trembled while he knew not of how to respond to the voice in his head, he most certainly did not want this voice as an enemy and this show of power had convinced him of that. Yet, he was still confident in overcoming whatever power this voice used to instill fear in him, he was confident in successfully purging it if needed. ‘What do you want from me?’ Vladaroth asked the voice in a cautious tone. ~'To stop controlling this body, you are Not its host.'~ The voice replied in an ordering tone, before continuing with an explanation. ~'This seems to be a special case, an awakening of your persona due to the child's weakened state and forceful transformation.'~‘What do you mean?’ Vladaroth asked, bewildered by what the implications of this explanation could mean. ~'The mage's eyes had activated this body's blood, in turn awakening your power. This isn't a power the child should be using this early on to begin with, and because of the weakness
The situation went from an awkward silence to a dreadful standoff in mere moments, Shana had been taken hostage and the slumbering Elyenora as well as the man whom neither Siya nor Drull recognized were also in grave danger. “Come on! Weapons on the ground!” The assassin holding Shana by the neck barked orders, “Else you’ll see this girl bleed out before your eyes!” “Hmpf, seems like you missed the last few minutes.” Siya snorted, “Siya just told her not to put Siya and Drull in danger! Why would Siya give up hers and Drull’s life for this girl then?” “W-What?!” The assassin looked rather shocked, stepping back a little in a defensive way. “Siya, calm down.” Drull said, stepping forth, “We’ll comply with that demand.” “Eh?! Drull!” Siya yelled. “We still owe a debt to those two.” Drull answer, looking towards Elyenora and Mon’Ter as he thought to himself, ‘If I were a betting man, I’d have to guess this person helped us in some way.” Having said his piece, Drull moved his sw
