Chapter 61: We walk not alone, but together

The sun raised itself over the horizon and lit up what remained of the forest canvas, blue skies loomed over, along with a fair number of clouds which still remained even after last night’s fiasco. There were some embers that still burned here and there, the fires in the woods had spread out far and wide, they’d thoroughly managed to burn a majority of the entire forest.

In one of the clearings where everything had been blackened, stood a single tree which had been unaffected by the raging blaze of the night before. Its crown swayed with the morning winds and proudly showed its lively greenery.  

Beneath that very same tree, laid a sleeping girl. Her golden strands of hair blew along with the wind, her cherry colored lips parted to take in soft breaths, and her hand gently moved to rub her closed eyes.
