Samuel looked on from the sidelines. “Sereia really has grown a whole lot stronger in the past three years, huh?”
The area he was in was protected magically from any stray attacks, there were magical barriers that allowed people to pass through, however when combat was detected within the arena it would close off and protect the onlookers.
However, despite being protected from any incoming attacks going his way, his pride was still taking some hits the more he watched these to be teammates of his.
‘As I am now... I could probably win against the nineteen year old Sereia that beat me before in the Winter Blade tournament... But in just three years she’s already advanced this much, what can I possibly do to catch up at this rate?’ Samuel grimaced, feeling as though he wasn’t doing enough.
For him, Mon’Ter was untouchable. Yet this woman whom he’d once faced had already managed to push the chimera a lot farther
Sereia cheerfully led Mon’Ter and Samuel to the dining area of the mansion, the hallways were rather huge in size and volume but she seemed to have no issue moving about.“This place seems a lot bigger on the inside... than the outside...” Mon’Ter mentioned as they walked.“Yeah, my father has made it like so, with some specific arrays he’d built into the foundations of the building,” Sereia explained, “If you’re not careful you may end up getting lost in a maze here, the magical doorways don’t really help much with that sadly...”She scratched her cheek, then turned to the door on the right, “Oh, but in other cases they do actually end up helping out a lot!” Sereia said and opened the door she’d seen.It appeared like normal a small room from the outside, nothing special about it and definitely not a door you’d pay much attention too. But once she went through, it a
About twenty minutes before the food had been served in the dining room. Elyenora was still staying peacefully at her grandpa’s side when the door to the room opened. The princess turned, thinking that perhaps Samuel had returned with the food rather quickly, however it was someone else instead.“Sir Gaia?” Elyenora questioned, surprised to see him here at this time.Randus made his way inside the room and looked at Elyenora from afar, “Princess Elyenora, I have something I wish to discuss with you.”“Is it something important? she asked. “I’m waiting for Samuel to come by with food for us to dine on.”“Indeed, it is definitely an important matter,” Randus said and waved her over, “Come on, I must lead you somewhere. And this will take more than just a few minutes.”“Alright then?” Elyenora looked at him quizzically, but followed regardless. She turned
“Leave this household!” Christela yelled whilst chasing after Mon’Ter.Mon’Ter jumped on top of the table and moved farther away from the woman, still munching on a freshly roasted steak that was half inside his mouth and half outside.“Hahahahaha! Oh gods! I can’t! I cannot!” Sereia held her belly whilst laughing like a lunatic, “This is way better than I expected!”“Barbaric cretin! Get off the table right now!” Christela glared at Mon’Ter whilst shouting and trying to circle around him.Mon’Ter slurped up the rest of the steak and quickly devoured it, “But if I do that, you’ll... Slap me again...”Yes, she had slapped him.“You’d better believe I’ll slap you again! The audacity of eating like that in front of me and my daughter! Have you no shame?!” Christela bellowed at the top of her lungs.“Well, I don&rs
The day had passed and night had descended, Sereia was already sound asleep in her bed, with a large cylinder-shaped pillow tucked between her legs and drool running down the normal one she was hugging. Her blanket was off her body, but that didn’t seem to bother her deep blissful slumber at all.Mon’Ter still couldn’t get a proper read on Elyenora’s location, and that bothered him. He couldn’t sleep and had thus exited the room he was given, instead moving up to the rooftop of the mansion where it was quite calming.‘What could she be doing with that Lord Gaia fellow...’ he thought whilst gazing at the incomplete moon surrounded by stars, it was a pretty sight.“Can't sleep either, huh?” Samuel’s voice came from the side.“Sam...” Mon’Ter turned to look. the young knight was walking towards him from the roof side, he’d apparently decided to climb up the roof too.S
As the group made their way through the hallways, the awkwardness which Mon’Ter and Samuel felt didn’t wane in the slightest. Sereia was still walking with puffed up cheeks, quite annoyed with her father, and he didn’t give her the time of day to start an argument she so desired to make.Minutes slowly passed, until eventually they arrived in the room where Elyenora was staying with her uncle. She held his hand at his side and seemed to be in deep thought.“Princess Elyenora,” Randus called out from the doorway, “I do so hope you’ve found enough time to bid your farewells for the time being?”“I have, thank you for giving me some time,” Elyenora said whilst standing up from her chair. She turned towards the group with a resolute stare. Her eyes were sharp. “Shall we head out then?”“Ely... Have you eaten?” Mon’Ter asked worriedly. He wasn’t sure if she’d
The group of four stood on the white platform in the center of the room. They were right atop the magic circle which would send them off, all the way to the far side of Benulis. It was a three layered circle with four individual smaller circles on each side. One for each person.“Good luck. I wish you save travels, you four,” Randus said, his gaze stern.“No matter what it takes we’ll bring the sacred tree sap back,” Elyenora nodded at him, “If it means saving grandpa Leo and you, sir Gaia, then I’ll stake my life on it.”“Me too,” Samuel assured.“Me three then,” Sereia added, grinning as she stretched her arms, “I ain’t letting you croak at sixty, old man! You haven’t seen the best of your daughter yet!”“Ain’t you a funny one,” Randus smiled, suppressing a chuckle, “Go and make me proud then.”“Well, me four
Mon’Terran on all three of his limbs along the edges of Sereia’s range. He was just close enough so thatElyenora’ssilent wind rapier would be able to keep her light as a feather, and they would stay dry due to the racer girl’s own silent rain sword.“Woooooohooooo!!” Sereia shouted at the top of her lungs. By using the sword at her side, she was able to command that one little wave like a surfboard with how light her body was, not to mention that, she was doing tricks and hops all around hills and trees.Simply, she was having fun.“Hey! Sereia! You’re going to get out of my range, slow down!”Elyenorayelled towards her, but it didn’t seem like she could hear. She was going fast, too fast, but she wasn’t the only one capable of such feats.“Mon’Ter, can you get closer?”Elyenoralooked
Days of travel passed, but the colorful forest seemed to never end. The party had already enjoyed a few comforting nights in the forests of Evelune, known as the Everlasting Bloom. It is where the country gets its name from, whereas ‘Eve’ means ‘forever’ and ‘Lune’ means ‘blossom’.Nothing much had happened till now, not worth mentioning at least. The roasted pig had been served to Mon’Ter steaming as promised. Elyenora’s ring kept everything in a stasis, so it’s all basically prepared mere minutes before its serving at all times.Like promised, Mon’Ter did share his winning pork with the loser and even the knight who bickered with her, it saddened him greatly, but he lived with it. Much to Elyenora’s amusement. Now as they walk, cyan mists cover the majority of the forest which they roam. The mist gave a mystical feel to it all, almost like a fog of the unknown. The flora flourished,
