The group of four stood on the white platform in the center of the room. They were right atop the magic circle which would send them off, all the way to the far side of Benulis. It was a three layered circle with four individual smaller circles on each side. One for each person.
“Good luck. I wish you save travels, you four,” Randus said, his gaze stern.
“No matter what it takes we’ll bring the sacred tree sap back,” Elyenora nodded at him, “If it means saving grandpa Leo and you, sir Gaia, then I’ll stake my life on it.”
“Me too,” Samuel assured.
“Me three then,” Sereia added, grinning as she stretched her arms, “I ain’t letting you croak at sixty, old man! You haven’t seen the best of your daughter yet!”
“Ain’t you a funny one,” Randus smiled, suppressing a chuckle, “Go and make me proud then.”
“Well, me four

Mon’Terran on all three of his limbs along the edges of Sereia’s range. He was just close enough so thatElyenora’ssilent wind rapier would be able to keep her light as a feather, and they would stay dry due to the racer girl’s own silent rain sword.“Woooooohooooo!!” Sereia shouted at the top of her lungs. By using the sword at her side, she was able to command that one little wave like a surfboard with how light her body was, not to mention that, she was doing tricks and hops all around hills and trees.Simply, she was having fun.“Hey! Sereia! You’re going to get out of my range, slow down!”Elyenorayelled towards her, but it didn’t seem like she could hear. She was going fast, too fast, but she wasn’t the only one capable of such feats.“Mon’Ter, can you get closer?”Elyenoralooked
Days of travel passed, but the colorful forest seemed to never end. The party had already enjoyed a few comforting nights in the forests of Evelune, known as the Everlasting Bloom. It is where the country gets its name from, whereas ‘Eve’ means ‘forever’ and ‘Lune’ means ‘blossom’.Nothing much had happened till now, not worth mentioning at least. The roasted pig had been served to Mon’Ter steaming as promised. Elyenora’s ring kept everything in a stasis, so it’s all basically prepared mere minutes before its serving at all times.Like promised, Mon’Ter did share his winning pork with the loser and even the knight who bickered with her, it saddened him greatly, but he lived with it. Much to Elyenora’s amusement. Now as they walk, cyan mists cover the majority of the forest which they roam. The mist gave a mystical feel to it all, almost like a fog of the unknown. The flora flourished,
After Elyenora had displayed her now indominable skill, one comparable even to Mon’Ter’s own prowess, the party was moving quite leisurely and at ease. Going through the Everlasting Blossom Forest through the path they were taking certainly was not the safest of routes. But considering their starting, point it was best and fastest.Having three lord class combatants and one noble class mage also brought about great flexibility. It was what gave the opportunity for this route in the first place, as no spirit could possibly threaten them. Most of the rouge ones were between the peak rankings of rare class and champion class, while a few were noble class, either low or mid rank. However, they didn’t get to encounter another Lord class spirit since the first instance of combat, which was great.Another week had passed, but the scenery never seemed to change. It was beautiful but by no means did it help the minds of the party. Sereia even felt like they we
The party of four was soon escorted by the guard through the main street of Almira. The roads were paved with marbles of different colors and the houses were still made from exotic wood. Some even appeared to be of stone, but in reality they were simply a different type of plant used in construction.Even all the way here, inside the city, you could still see the lustering lights which fell from the titanic tree above and its leaf crown. They kept it both bright at night and even now in the daylight when the shadows of above cover the land below. It was too colorful not to watch on in awe.Elves crossed the road, carrying baskets of fruit, pulling carts of valuables and or other miscellaneous items. Whether it be for their jobs or for their livelihood, or even just people going about aimlessly, doing their personal hobby or hanging out with friends, there were all kinds of people moving about.“This city is truly beautiful,” Elyenora couldn’t h
Minutes slowly passed and the party waited patiently for the king’s word. Would they be granted passage or be forced to leave? It would be quite difficult on them if it were the latter. Time is not a friend. And yet they sorely needed it.The gate of vines soon opened and the guard from earlier walked back outside, he motioned to the group to come closer and told them solemnly, “His majesty has agreed to see you. He has said that he was interested with what the young princess of Benulis has to say.”“That’s great, thank you for your help, sir knight,” she said with respect to the man, then walked forth to the wooden door. The two guards opened it for her, sitting at the sides in an orderly manner. They waited until all three of the princess’ companions followed after her too, before closing them inside.“Whoa,” Samuel started darting his gaze from place to place, “It’s even more colorful on
Mon’Termight have potentially lied toElyenora, however it was more of a half-truth and half-lie. He would not wait till her return, but he certainly would be there if the need arises.Whilst hiding his presence away from any prying eyes, he walked in such a waythatnone of the elvish guard noticed him. Be they normal soldiers or Knights of Mora; most did not measure up toMon’Ter’scaliber and proved to be as useful against his movements as scarecrows on a field facing a lion. Now, while keeping his distance,Mon’TertrailedElyenoraand her escorts. He stood at a far enough distancethateven she wouldn’t notice and perked his ears up to listen in.…“If it is not rude of me to ask,”Elyenorasaid, her eyes darting from one knight to the next. “What is the Elven king like?”&nb
“Won’t live through it?”Elyenoratilted her head. “May I ask what you mean by that.”“Ely isn’t dying,”Mon’Terglared from the side.“You,”Elyenorapointed at him, “shush.”“Okay...” he sat behindElyenora’schair in a crouched position, holding his knees close and his back to the princess’ seat.“Done with the skit?” Agathon smiled.“More or less,”Elyenorastraightened herself with her chin raised high, trying to seem more dignified even after her comrade’s, or well in this case specifically, retainer’s blunder. “So, is it possible that you could you elaborate?”Agathon placed his glass of wine on the table, then clenched his hands together whilst looking straight into the princess’ eyes. “Bei
“I do not believe you,” Agathon gulped, “a humanoid chimera, with human reasoning at that...?”Mon’Ter raised his hand and extended the fingers widely, showing his black draconic claw. “I assure you.”“Dragon claws...” Agathon mumbled.“My fluff here too, it’s part of my... Werebeast side? I think Ely said that... yeah,” Mon’Ter scratched his cheek while referring to his mane.He then took his boot off, showing the bone like talons he had for feet. “Also this, I dunno what this is from.”“Unlit phoenix talons?!” Agathon raised his tone high enough that the guards heard him.“Oh, so this is my phoenix part, cool,” Mon’Ter monotoned.“Your majesty?! Is everything alright in there?” they readied their blades, at a moment’s notice they could charge right in.“Y-yes, everything is fine!&rdqu
