113 – Some Conversations

Norug sat on a chair in the public dining room, drinking from the umpteenth bottle of wine. His face was so red, and he hiccupped many times.

There was no one there but him.

"Don't bother the janitor tomorrow with your bottles and vomit." Shori walked past the Dwarf toward a shelf displaying some snacks.

Norug chuckled. "I've proposed that we open a bar here, but the president hasn't agreed yet… Getting late-night snacks, my love?"

"Don't call me 'love,' Dwarf." Shori snorted and took a pack of jerky and a bottle of water. Then, she chose to sit some distance away from that man. "I'm nothing to you."

"But I'm happy." The Dwarf laughed. "You finally want to talk to me after ignoring me for a long time."

Shori bit her jerky and didn't respond, making the atmosphere quiet again.
