60 – Little Girl in the Dark

The other children in the orphanage were already asleep. Little Elisa sneaked into the back room carrying the key she had stolen from a caregiver.

Her vision was so blurry because of her deteriorating eye condition, but she could do that easily. Perhaps because she already knew that place by heart or because her instincts for detecting objects around her were getting sharper. The little girl doesn't even know.

The silver-haired girl exited the building and walked down the dark, quiet street. Again, she can do that well without significant hindrance.

There is no other choice. The caretakers kept forbidding her from visiting that place. They worry that she won't be able to move on from the incident if she continues going there daily.

But she couldn't hold back her desire to go back there.

Nearly half an hour passed, and she finally arrived at her destination.
