For over a dozen seconds, George just stared at the screen of the visafone in silence. Then still in silence, he fished his android phone out.
At this distance, he easily connected to the university hotspot.
He connected to g****e again.

As soon as the search loaded, his eyes soon paused on one.

He fumed, fueled by his hunger as breathing heavily, he finally tried to calm down while thinking of his next strategy.
He sighed. “Calm down George, you got this”.
A few minutes later, he swaggered into the pet shop again to the counter girl’s surprise and instead of walking around, he walked straight to her.
“Ah! You’re back?”
George went straight to the point. “Yes, I’m looking for a specific Felis Catus”.
“Pardon?” The girl was confused.
George stared at her. “A Felis Catus, I mean a cat”.
“Oh, sorry sir, we have lots of cats”.
‘She called me sir!’ George blushed in his mind, feeling good all of a sudden as his hunger briefly vanished.
“Do you have an Egyptian Mau?”
“Ah!” The girl exclaimed awkwardly. “Let me check”. She hurriedly accessed the shop’s official database before looking at him with an apologetic gaze.
That look alone shattered George’s heart in pieces again.
The hunger came back at full force.
“I’m sorry sir, we don’t have an Egyptian Mau yet but with time, we’ll expand to have even rare cat breeds like that”.
“Umm, ok, do you know where I can get one?”
George already dropped his façade; all he wanted now was that freaking Egyptian Mau so he could get money to go eat.
The girl smiled. “Egyptian Maus are a rare breed mostly found in the streets of Egypt, and only in high-tier reputable pet shops”.
“E-Egypt?!” George stammered, feeling the hunger come back stronger.
The girl showed a concerned face. “Sir, are you ok?”
“I’m good”. George forced a smile. “Actually, I want the Egyptian Mau urgently, is there a closer destination where I can get one?”
The girl sighed. “Unfortunately, no sir, that’s all I know”.
Sighing, George turned to leave the shop and for some reason, seeing him like that, this counter girl felt pity.
“Hey, sir!” She ran to meet him. “I don’t know what you need an Egyptian Mau urgently for but you look like a well to do person”.
“There’s an Egyptian Mau in the noble’s mansion”.
George sharply turned to face her. “Count Luke?”
“Yes,” She smiled brightly.
“Thank you!”
“Thank you,” George passionately kissed the girl on the cheeks. “You just saved a life”.
He rushed out of the shop.
Watching him leave, this girl stood, petrified as she touched her cheek where she was just kissed. “H-he kissed me?” She stammered while blushing fiercely.
Rushing out of the shop with his remaining energy, George thought. ‘Count Luke’s mansion, there’s no way I can enter that big house’.
‘How will I see his pet cat?’
‘Well, f*ck it!’
‘Desperate situations call for desperate measures!’
The Count’s mansion was not far away, it was the biggest mansion in Crack Town. The only problem was that this mansion had a huge fence surrounding it.
The fence could not stop the determined George though.
Looking around, he easily found a solution.
The Count had a large outside garden that went round his mansion’s fence and among the flowers in the garden, there were also tall flowers like trees.
Stealthily looking around, George flexed his muscles, easily climbing one of the flower trees as he finally got a nice angle view inside this mansion.
The mansion was the epitome of luxury.
A luxurious 3-storied building occupied the center of this property, while surrounding it was a large yard and beautiful garden.
2 luxurious cars were inside yet no one could be seen, it seemed deserted.
On top the tree, George waited patiently, watching.
5 minutes passed.
10 minutes passed.
15 minutes passed.
Then, at the 18th minute, it showed up.
“Meow!”
Hearing that sound, George’s ears stood like an antenna.
He looked and he saw his target, it was the same black spotted white cat that he saw when he g****e-searched it.
George was excited but he got another concern though.
‘It said for a HD picture, can the visafone’s camera do it?’
Opening the visafone again, he was surprised, the camera was sharper than his cheap imported android phone. But at this distance, it was still blurry.
At this moment, George invoked his inner Roger Deakins.
As still as a pole on top the tree, he kept his hand steady and found the perfect angle even as sweat rolled down his face.
Then, he hit the button.
