The innocent betrayed

Thomas was announced not guilty by the judge. Upon hearing this, Norah’s anger flared. This time, she planned to take matters into her own hands. “I suspected Thomas all along in the disappearance of my husband. Even though he claimed he wasn’t in town on that fateful day when my love, Lucas, was kidnapped, Thomas has to return to jail. He needs to be tortured until he tells the truth,” Norah said to Jessica, Lucas’s lawyer.

“Yes, Mrs. Norah, I suspected him too. It’s time we confront him. Remember how he planned to kill your father? Thomas isn’t far from what happened to Lucas. We need to act fast before he gets home,” Jessica replied.

Norah handed over her baby to the maid and called the police. They arrested Thomas right before his door as he was about to enter his home.

Thomas was stunned. He had just been declared not guilty, and now he was being arrested again. “What is this? I was just released!” he exclaimed, struggling against the officers.
