Mr. Dickson ran into his house, breathless. “Honey, what is it? Why are you acting like this?” his wife asked, concerned.

“She has evidence against our son,” he replied, his voice trembling.

“I don’t understand. Can you please explain?” she asked, her worry deepening.

Mr. Dickson recounted everything he had discussed with Mrs. Jessica. “So, Thomas did this. How can we be free from the consequences?” she asked, her voice barely a whisper.

Mr. Dickson sighed. “I spoke to Mr. Desmond, hoping he could convince Mrs. Jessica not to reveal the evidence, but she insisted on making it known to everyone. She wasn’t in a hurry; she wanted to gather more information first.”

Mrs. Jessica was confused and anxious. She couldn’t understand who had taken her phone. As she stood in court, the judge called her to present her evidence.

“Mrs. Jessica, please present your evidence,” the judge demanded.

She fumbled through her bag, her hands shaking. “I… I had it. It was right here,” she stammered.
