My Demon System The Demon System
The Next Day Mason slowly opened his eyes and blink away the black spots covering his vision. His head was humming, and it was a few seconds before his vision focused and he could see where he was. He was lying on the ground with his face facing the sky. The entire ground was soak red with his blood while his clothes looked torn and damaged. Slowly, he stood on his feet and looked around him to discover the blood that seemed to cover the entire horizon. The moment he saw the blood, Mason groan as everything came rushing back to him. He remembered being chased by the neo-thieves the other night and had eventually fallen down from the cliff after getting to a dead end. He had felt every bone in his body broken and his life draining out from him. He didn't need anyone to tell him that he was going to die. So how the hell was he alive and breathing now? How the hell had he managed to survive the fall? He should be dead right now but how come he was okay? Mason wondered as he looked u
My Demon System Quest
"Ahh, when the heck is it gonna end?" Mason yelled in frustration as he ran round the orphanage for the umpteenth time, trying to complete the second lap. It has been hours since he had gotten back from the cliff and now he was trying to confirm if the system was indeed real or not. He has done the push ups and sit ups already and now he was trying to complete the hundred meter lap. But so far the system had still not displayed anything. "So it was fake all along." Mason said with a sigh as he continued running. And just when he was about to stop and give up, he heard a ding and immediately, some few messages appeared before his eyes. My Demon System The Golden Eye
Mason wiped the blood from his mouth as he stood on his feet with anger coursing through his veins. He looked around the balcony and noticed a little crowd had began to form, clearly waiting for what was to happen next. The blue screen still towered above him, reminding him of the quest he had just received. Mason stared at the last message and felt his pulse quicken. Was he really going to lose the system if he lost the fight? Or was the system just playing pranks on him? He wondered but couldn't wait to gather his thoughts as a punch to the face send him flying backwards until he hit his back on the wall. "What the fuck are you staring at?" Drake slurred as he raced towards him and threw another punch at his face but this time around Mason was quick to dodge, allowing the punch to hit the wall. "How about that you prick?" Mason yelled while giving him the middle finger which only seemed to infuriate Drake the more. Without warning, Drake charged at Mason, his massive frame barre
My Demon System Mrs Harper
It was half past five in the evening when Mason got home, drained and hungry. Mrs Harper and Sabrina were sitting on the rocks outside the orphanage when he arrived and they both had looks of surprise on their faces. It wasn't a secret to them that Mason got bullied at school a lot, and because of that he usually got home late, bruised and weak from the fight. But today was different because he had not only gotten home three hours early than he normally did but was also looking sharp and clean. Even his school uniform was in the right places instead of being torn like they normally did. "Hey, you got home early today? Did you escape fighting today?" Sabrina mocked from where she sat while Mrs Harper just watched. "Funny you should say that because I actually got into a fight today and won." Mason replied and Sabrina just broke down laughing. "Anything funny?" He asked but she just kept laughing. "I told you Mason, the day you win a fight is the day I will crawl through Beverly to
My Demon System Meeting Caleb
Mason sat on his seat at the back of the class as he went through his books. And for the first time since he began Avalon school, he was able to read at peace without anyone coming to disturb him.Soon though, the school bell rang indicating that the school break was over. And a few moments later, the student in class D began trooping into the class just as Mr Gibson, the history teacher came walking in."Ugh, history class again!" A girl with raven coloured hair complained while the whole class bursted out laughing."I know you hate history class Debby, but I'm sorry to break it to you, the school pays me to do my job so I'm going to do my job." Mr Gibson replied with a smile as he dropped the history textbook on the table while moving to the front of the table."Today is going to be different everyone because we are not going to talk about the history of earth like we normally do in our classes but about the history of the dragon bloods, their weakness, strength and how they can be
My Demon System The Originals
The evening was dry and warm as Mason walked down Saint Louis Street with Caleb walking down alongside him. Apparently they were headed towards Caleb home after Jasper had invited him over. The two have bonded really well in school and Mason had learned that Caleb was truly a nice guy like he had guessed him to be. He came from the Fae family and lived on the eastern side of Beverly town after having transferred from his old school two months ago. And now he was just trying to settle in. "We are here!" Caleb announced as they came across a huge mansion that was surrounded by peach trees and overlooked a small garden. Mason turned to look at the mansion and the moment his eyes landed on them, he couldn't help but keep them widely opened. "No fucking way! You live here?" He beamed as he stared at the huge mansion before him. "Yes I do. That's my home." Caleb replied with a smile as he kept staring at Mason who was at a lost for words. "But why the reaction bro? I mean it's just a

Reunion
Sebastian sat at the last corner of Anne's Coffee shop, surrounded by the soothing sounds of soft jazz music as he took a sip from the coffee in front of him. The atmosphere was intimate, with soft lighting and comfortable seating, and everyone around him, except for himself, was seated in pairs, dressed nicely as if on a date. Sebastian checked his watch; it was 5 pm now, and Lena still hadn't arrived. He had been sitting there for an hour, waiting for her so they could discuss the crime scene in the mine and the black fog hovering around Ryder's body. But Lena still hadn't shown up yet. Had she forgotten about their meeting? Or had something come up, and she had decided to cancel at the last minute? Sebastian wondered, but quickly pushed the thoughts away. Knowing Lena, she would do anything to get to the bottom of this case, even if it meant going to hell and back. Sebastian thought with a smile as he took a journey down memory lane. Oh, how long had it been since they'd last see

"What the hell are you?" Jasper asked with a serious face, and Mason couldn't help but take a big gulp. "What... what are you talking about, man? You're freaking me out!" Mason stuttered, walking towards the window with a confused look on his face. What was Jasper talking about, and why was he suddenly asking him that? Was this about what happened at the mine? Or rather, did he figure out what he was? He thought and ran his fingers through his hair. This was all too soon, and he didn't even know what to make of it."Stop acting dumb, man, you know exactly what I mean," Jasper said, standing up as well. "You told me you didn't know what your ability was and how it worked, but it turned out you weren't being completely honest with me. I mean, how on earth did you manage to defeat Ryder? And what happened to you back at the mine? Why did you suddenly go berserk and start attacking us?" Jasper snapped, with anger all over his face. Now that they were a team, he didn't want Mason to hide a
The New Plan
Jasper walked down the dimly lit corridor, his eyes glazed over and his mouth slightly ajar. He had just woken up from a deep slumber and was headed towards his room to take a shower. He had gotten back hours ago, and had immediately gone to sleep on the couch after eating the only thing his eyes could lay on: a grilled cheese sandwich. Now he was awake and felt more alive than ever. As he shuffled towards his room, he noticed the door to his uncle's study was slightly ajar, and stopped. "Is he home?" he wondered aloud, pushing the door open and hoping to find him inside. But the room was empty, the only signs of life a few scattered books and an open window that let in a chill breeze. Jasper let out a frustrated sigh. So much for his uncle's supposed retirement. He was barely around, and only came back in the late hours after midnight. Sometimes he returned covered in dirt, other times with bloodstains on his clothes. And then he would head out early the next day, repeating the same
Tbe Gauntlets
[Shop]Mason summoned the shop tab, and different options appeared. He tapped on the weapons tab, and a few weapons appeared before him. Some were blurred out, and Mason figured he had to reach the next level before he could unlock them. There were different weapons here, such as gauntlets, swords, daggers, maces, and all other kinds of weapons. Mason debated on which one to choose and finally chose the gauntlets. The reason he chose them was that they fit his fighting style better. He had found out while fighting the guards at Umbra that he loved close combat, which meant the gauntlets were the best for him.[Basic Gauntlets - 70 coins to purchase][Intermediate Gauntlets - 120 coins to purchase][Advanced Gauntlets - 200 coins to purchase][Reach Level 20 to unlock][Reach Level 20 to unlock]The basic gauntlets cost 70 coins to purchase, while the remaining two cost 120 coins and 200 coins, respectively. The rest were blurred out and couldn't be purchased. Mason looked at his avail
New Skill
Sabrina paced down the living room, anxious, nervous, and worried. Five days had passed since Mason had left the house, and although she had found a note lying on his bed indicating that he had gone on a friend's trip with Caleb, Sabrina was still worried. She smelled something fishy. Mason was not the type to be gone for so long, and he most especially did not miss school. With the news going on about the murder of the Umbra faction, she couldn't help but be worried. Besides, Caleb was just a new friend he had made days ago, so how could he be gone with him for so long? Or had they gotten that close already?"Relax, Sabrina. Mason is no longer a kid. He's eighteen now, so he will be back okay?" Aunt Harper said from where she sat, and Sabrina stopped walking. "How can you say that, Aunt Harper? Aren't you even a little bit worried about him?" She snapped and rolled her eyes. "According to my experience, boys tend to act like that when they get to that age. So, he's going to be fine,
Departure
That same dayAt 8amIt was morning, and the sun was shining brightly in the sky. Mason, Jasper, and Luke could be seen emerging out of a rock far from the mine, their faces smeared with dirt and their clothes stained. They had spent hours inside the rocks, navigating which way to go and which way led to the outside. Jasper had taken them through the tunnel, but he didn't know which way to go. They had gotten lost in the tunnels and spent hours finding their way out. Eventually, they had stopped to get some rest, as they were tired and exhausted from the fight with Umbra. As they stepped foot into the light, Luke couldn't help but collapse on the floor, breathing heavily. "Remind me never to walk into any secret tunnel with you," he said with a laugh, exhausted from the long walk. "You're welcome," Jasper said with a smile as he also collapsed on the ground next to him. "Well, it beats being caught by the police if you ask me. My aunt will have been worried if she saw me on TV with
Sebastian
The next morningAt 7 amSebastian walked down the dark tunnel after pulling up from his car, his long strides covering the distance between him and the elevator in mere seconds. He was annoyed, as usual, and his cold eyes could confirm that. He hated crime scenes, and he hated being around police officers even more. They were useless, and he had developed a special hatred for them. They had been there when his wife and kid had died, and yet there was nothing they could do to stop that from happening. He had arrived home from work years ago after getting a call, only to find their lifeless bodies lying on the ground without a clue as to what had happened. The only thing he had found were broken glasses and a bunch of useless officers who had done nothing to stop that from happening. Sebastian took a deep breath as he took a journey down memory lane. If it weren't for Lena Grant and the history they both had together, he would not have agreed to come to this crime scene. He was retir
Detective Grant
Beverly town homicide detective Lena Grant pulled up from her car in front of the umbra mountain and knew right away that it was going to be a long day.She had seen reporters at crime scenes before but never this loud and crowded. There were different agencies waiting outside the mountain and fighting amongst themselves to get through the detectives."Detective Grant!" The reporters yelled as she made her way through the crowd with her detectives. At age 37, Lena was used to pushing her way through this kind of crowd but this time around, it was not easy. The reporters knew it was a huge story, and wanted to be the first to cover it. After all, it was not everyday you came across stories like this in Beverly town."Ah. This is going to be bad." Lena said to herself as she made her way through the crowd. They had gotten a tip from an anonymous source about the location of Umbra and a possible fight breaking out amongst ability users. And since there were no Authorities in Beverly tow
