Change Hundred and twelve

The next morning, the couple ate breakfast together again. This time, there was no coffee, as Charles didn’t want to irritate Norah again. So they had pancakes and tea. Norah, still in her pajamas, sat at the kitchen table, sipping ginger tea.

“How do you feel today, baby?” Charles threw at her.

“I’m better, darling, thanks to you. And Martha, she makes the best ginger tea.” Norah said, smiling weakly.

Martha who was standing inches away grinned. “It’s a secret family recipe, ma’am.” She said, pouring Charles a cup of her ginger tea.

“Now, eat up, my love. I want you to be back on your feet in no time.” Charles then said.

As they finished her breakfast, Charles couldn’t shake the worry from his face.

“I think I should stay home with you again today, just to make sure you’re completely fine.” Charles told Norah.

Norah laughed softly. “Charles, I’m not that delicate. I have Martha here, and I’ll be fine. You have work to do. Don’t worry about me.”
