Chapter Ninety-Nine

"What did you just say?" Walter asked in surprise.

"Can you please take me with you?" Sofia asked again.

Walter glanced at Sofia rubbing his beardless chin thoughtfully, he was about to say something but he stopped himself waiting for how Peter was going to react to that request.

He wanted to say, 'Please don't cause more trouble for yourself Pete, the mayor is going to march soldiers to your house if you hide is daughter.'

However knowing Peter, even if he said those words, they would be taken as air.

From Walter's perspective, when other people would instinctively run away from trouble, Peter would charge towards it head on.

"I won't stay for long, I plan to leave this city and go to my aunt in Trentville. My aunt is a very powerful person, if she hears that my father has been trying to get me married against my will, she'll definitely keep me safe from him and from Leon." Sofia quickly said so Peter wouldn't feel reluctant to take her.
