Chapter Ninety-Two

Peter frowned unable to understand how his card could have been declined.

"Can you please try it again one more time?" He asked the young assistant.

Margaret Roberts chuckled shaking her head, "Don't fool yourself young man, you were just playing hard to get with me by playing this facade. They sell a black card sticker at cheap stores for people who want to go around showing off and claiming to be wealthy. This card won't work even if it was tried ten times."

Peter didn't reply waiting for the assistant to swipe the card again.

The young assistant entered the numbers and swiped the card once more, a big red cancel sign showed on the screen along with some words underneath.

She glanced up at Peter awkwardly.

"Sir, there aren't enough sufficient funds on this card."

The agent frowned, "Sir, did you come here claiming to buy a house without having enough money for it? My time is extremely precious, I could have attended to many other clients but you have completely wasted my time."
