Serenity softly clenched her hand into a fist and left the Sanitation Office.

Before she had gone far, a silver-gray Porsche stopped her. A man then stepped out of the car. The girls in the Sanitation Office had just so happened to be talking about him earlier—Lucas Gomez.

"What do you want?" Serenity asked.

"I would like to treat you to a meal and express my thanks," Lucas said, opening the passenger seat door and inviting Serenity into the car.

"I didn't help in finding your bracelet. You don't have to do anything to express your thanks," Serenity said, moving her feet and trying to walk away.

Just as Serenity took a step away, Lucas raised his hand and blocked her way as he fixed his eyes on her with a gaze she could not understand.
