Earlier in the morning, Serenity had told Zeke that the man was just her brother. However, he had to reconfirm it before feeling at ease.

Zeke drove to the entrance of a rural residential area. He left the car, entered the neighborhood, and searched for the specific unit.

After some effort, he finally stopped in front of a narrow door.

'This is a typical rural house for rent. Is this where Serenity lives?' Zeke thought.

Zeke heard some footsteps approaching just as he was about to knock on the door and instinctively ducked toward the shadows beside him. He hid in the dark and looked toward the sound of footsteps.
