Otherworldly.

Damien stopped walking. He turned and looked down the path. Then, to his left and right, which were shrouded by thick shrubs. There was nothing in sight, and he couldn't say for sure if there was something in hide. There was no sign except for the sound that had come earlier.

"Maybe it's in my head."

He dismissed the thought and kept on walking.

Rustle.

It came from his right. Then left. Then he heard a heavy thud behind him. He pushed a lump down his throat.

The weight of what landed behind him was quite heavy and impactful. He was a little nervous to see what it could be.

While he was trying to turn, he heard a snarl and a deep growl. He spun around to see a hideous creature. He staggered to the back in fear.

He didn't know what name to call this creature. He couldn't even start to make an attempt to describe. The humanoid creature had so many features that denied it of being called a particular creature.
