The Emblem.

The emblem was lying face down; the dragon inmprint brushing the earth.

Heave! Heave! Then flat again. Push! Push! Then, a little hand was seen pushing the emblem from beneath.

As soon as there was enough space between the emblem and the earth, a body rolled from beneath the emblem. Thud! The emblem fell again. Flat!

Damien rolled over his back, his face to the empty and blue sky.

"God! That was so exhausting."

He sighed in relief. Then suddenly, his face grew serious as though something had just occurred to him.

"Wait a minute."

He jumped on his feet. When he turned to the emblem, he noticed that he was about the same height as the emblem.

"What happened to me? What the fuck happened to me? Why am I so little?"

He ran to the emblem and tried to lift it up. His two hands beneath the tips of the emblem but he couldn't even lift it. Even when he did lift it, it was just a quarter inch high.

He let it drop and jumped to the back; if he had stayed back, the emblem could have fallen on his legs and probably broken his ankles.

"Why did I become so little? What is happening to me?"

He was really and entirely confused. A minute ego, he had just retrieved the emblem and was about to leave when suddenly he felt pain. Then, in the blink of an eye, he was this little!!!

The emblem that he could pick up with two fingers now looked like a mountain to him. He couldn't even lift it up no matter how hard he grunted, groaned, tried, and fought.

"Have I been cursed? I must have been cursed. This has never happened to me. Not even when I was fighting that sea monster? What is this place? A cursed area?"

He started to pace the area, walking around the emblem, which now looked like a mound of heavy metal.

"What am I going to do? What am I supposed to do?!"

He stopped walking around the emblem.

"Help! Somebody help! Please help!!!"

He started to run to the end of the dry and empty area. But no matter how hard and fast he ran, he couldn't even cover enough pace. It was as though he was dancing on the same spot.

"Help! Hel..."

He felt frustrated and tired. He grudgingly walked back to the emblem. He sat next to the emblem, dropping his head.

"Is this the end for me?"

Losing hope was unusual of him, but he felt really helpless at that moment.

Suddenly, he felt an activity coming from beside him.

"Huh?"

He lifted his head to see the emblem levitating.

"What the hell!"

The emblem started to float away horizontally. Damien started to chase it. Though he had no idea what was happening, yet he knew he couldn't lose the emblem. Wasn't that the point of coming here?

Because the emblem was not travelling at full speed, Damien eventually caught up. Then he started to jump. He wanted to catch an edge and hurl himself on top of the emblem.

After trying a couple of times, he finally held unto the emblem and swung himself against the hard surface.

As soon as he sat on the emblem, the emblem, which had been fixated at a particular level, started to increase the level of levitation. Going higher and higher.

Then the speed increased, too, and the emblem travelled through the space.

"Wow."

Damien tried to get up on his feet as the emblem travelled. They were very much high in the sky and had left that isolated land behind.

Damien looked beneath him. He could see greenery. Those must be lands. But what kind of land? He wasn't sure.

He got distracted by an Eagle that flew past him.

"Hey! Enjoying it up here?"

He called at the bird.

"I must be insane talking to a bird!"

He mocked. Then he spread his arms in the air and whooped.

"Wo-hoooo!!!!"

He could hear the echo of his own voice.

Suddenly, he felt a gust of wind hit him in the chest, and he lost his balance. He fell off the emblem.

"Ahhhhhh!!!"

His sceeam, as he dropped.

Suddenly, a sort of rope made from twigs grew out of the base of the emblem. The rope curled around him, holding him from the force of the wild winds.

He pulled the rope and climbed back on top of the emblem. This time, he made sure to sit carefully.

"What was that, though? A rope from what looked like a coin?"

"No, that's not my worry! I should be grateful that I didn't fall off. I could have died."

He sighed in relief, pressing his hands to his chest.

"But then where the hell am I headed? Shouldn't I be returning to the lady? Or is this emblem taking me to her?"

He slowly pushed his body forward on the emblem.

"Hey, Mr Emblem. Could you please tell me where we are headed?"

Even in the confusion, he burst out laughing.

"I must be crazy. This system is doing me more harm than good. I do not only talk to birds but coins, too?"

Boof! Bang! He heard a loud sound behind him. He turned to his back at once. There was an explosion in the air.

"What's it that? Where did that come fr--"

The emblem suddenly tilted to the front.

"What's happening, oh good Lord."

Looking at the front, he realised that the emblem was beginning to descend like a jet, which had lost its anchor. That brought back a lot of memories, but he was trying to stay focused.

The descent of the emblem increased, and Damien slid down the emblem in the direction of the tilt. He almost fell off but grabbed the edge of the emblem,

"That was close."

His little hands held strongly unto the edge as he fell rapidly.

Clash! Crash! The sound of shattered glass.

Thud! Damien dropped on a hard floor. He was in pain. The emblem rolled to a corner and bounced back, rolling towards Damien again.

"Oh no... oh no..."

Clang! Bang! The heavy metal collided with his head, and he dropped unconscious.

Then a sound came. The sound of heels approaching his unconscious little body. Long beautiful legs of a lady halted by his head. An empty bottle was placed by the left leg of the lady.

The body leaned forward and picked the little man up and into the bottle was the little man tossed...
