Perseus got out of his car. His hand tugged in his pocket as he headed towards the path he knew Tobias was on. He had just called Tobias a few minutes ago and informed him that he was going to help him pick an antique. Come to think of it, he hasn't seen Tobias for a while. Soon, he found Tobias waving at him. “You came?” Tobias sounded happy that Perseus was there. “I said I was going to come, didn't I?” Tobias smiled. “I thought you were joking.” “I wasn't.” By this time, they were already walking into the antique street. There were several sellers lined up on the street, and as they walked, Perseus' eyes scanned all of the antiques that he could see. [Antique ability activated.]“Since you helped me pick that antique that was bought by Mr. Kim, I have used the money for an investment and also bought some antiques.” Perseus arched his brows. He already knew that the investment Tobias was talking about must have been a total flop. “Was the investment profitable?” Perseus ask
Perseus and Tobias exchanged glances. Tobias shrugged as Perseus stared at him. Mr. Joe thought Perseus was going to plead with him; instead, Perseus rose to his feet. "Okay, Mr. Joe. I will buy from another stall.” Perseus took the vase from Tobias and returned it to Mr. Joe. Mr. Joe was stunned, but he took back his vase and returned it to its original position. Tobias gave Perseus a questioning look, confused by what Perseus was doing. “Are you going to leave the antique like that?” "Yes, I am,” Perseus muttered as he walked down the street. “He isn't the only one who would have genuine antiques on his stall, and I don't have the time to persuade him.” “I don't know why he is like that to you, but I usually get boy stuff from him.”“And got cheated, I guess.” Tobias glanced at Perseus. “He isn't that bad, but you have to pay him if you know the antiques are genuine." Perseus shrugged. “He does know that a few of his antiques are fake, but he sells them to you expensively. So
Mr. Joe stared at Perseus as if asking if he bought anything like that. The lady followed his gaze and stared at Perseus. As if realizing what was happening, Tobias walked up to the lady. “We are searching for it too. He doesn't have the jug; I know a store that does.”Perseus's brows arched as Tobias lay firmly. The lady stared at Mr. Joe before walking ahead of Tobias.“You better not be lying about knowing a store that has that jug,” she muttered.“I'm not,” Tobias replied. He nodded at Mr. Joe and fell in step with Perseus. The lady was in the middle of them, and her gaze was solely focused on Perseus, to the extent that he was getting uncomfortable.“What?” He turned his head to meet her gaze. “Is there anything you want to say to me?”She shook her head. “You look quite familiar. Have we met?”“No,” Perseus replied. “We haven't.”“I'm Katherine, or Kathy for short. What's your name?”“Perseus,” he replied.“Nice to meet you, Perseus.”She went quiet after that and began talking
[Ding! A new mission has been unlocked.] [Participate in the tournament and win.] [Reward: 23 full stat points and 100 points.] [Punishment: Cut off the little man.] [Duration: No time duration.] Perseus glared at Iris. “How many times have I told you not to give me missions that are not necessary?” [Countless times, host.] [I have gotten used to it.] “What would I gain from the mission?” [Points?] “I still have a lot to do, and we don’t even have a pill.” [We can make another one.] [You just have to ask the system, and it will help.] “It’s more like you are bragging.” [If you call it that, I am.] Perseus wanted to argue more until Sherry’s voice caught his attention. “Is it that bad?” Sherry inquired, staring at him with an arched earbrow. Perseus' gaze shifted to the ladies; Rita and Ruth looked like they regretted telling him about the tournament. “We didn’t know you would hate it that much,” Ruth muttered. “We shouldn’t have asked Sherry to add your name to the li
“So, what do you want to talk about?” Perseus asked. They were in the passageway now, next to a window that overlooked all the outsides of the villa. The clothes he wanted to change into were with him, and he glanced down the hallway. Eris had her hand folded with a large frown on her face.“How did you let that happen to her?” Eris inquired. “I thought I left you both together.”“I was making the pasta, and she was far from me. She was shoved. That's how she got injured; he shoved her too hard."“Who shoved her?”“Danny.”“The dead guy?”“Yeah.”“Whatever, you could have saved her.”“It caught me off guard,” Perseus responded, glancing at her. “The medicine is going to help her heal faster.” He threw the clothes on his shoulder before she could respond. “I have to change my outfits for Delinder’s party.”Eris shrugged. “Okay, I can't go with you. I need to be there for Sherry.”“No problem.”Perseus walked away. He opened the door to another room and walked in. An hour later, Perseu
Mr. Kim?At the mention of Mr. Kim, Delinder stared at Perseus. He looked stunned to see Mr. Kim there, and there was something else she saw in his gaze. It was like he had done something else. It was then that she realized she had done something wrong. If he knew Mr. Kim, he was definitely a big shot. She regretted not reading the files about him. She had just read his name, his age, and the school he attended. If her father were to ask her questions about him, she wasn’t going to be able to answer.‘What is he doing here?’ Perseus asked himself as he stared at Mr. Kim. He had just claimed to be dating someone when he was engaged to Sherry. The night was terrible already. He managed to compose himself and act like he had done nothing. Sherry had given him her permission, but there was no way he was going to tell them it was fake."Hello, Mr. Kim.” Perseus greeted. “It was a surprise to see you here.”Mr. Garrett's gaze shifted from Perseus to Mr. Kim. “You both know each other?”“Ye
As soon as Mr. Kim threw the words toward Mr. Garrett, he threw them back almost immediately.“Says someone who had more than two lovers in the past.” Mr. Garrett retorted.Delinder was still shocked that her father had accepted the relationship. He had always rejected everyone that she brought. Does that mean that, to him, Perseus was the only one worthy of her?A bright smile appeared on her face. If her father was right, she wasn’t going to let Perseus go. She might as well steal him from Miss Kim.Perseus let out a sigh of relief. The panel was in front of him now, and his daily tasks were listed all over it. Every one of them was ticked, and Iris had just ticked the last one.[I didn’t expect you to be done so soon.][I thought that I would finally be able to punish you.]“Didn’t I tell you that not all dreams come to pass?”[Mine would!][Ding! As soon as Van fell over, he stared at Perseus with a terrified look on his face. Delinder had no idea what happened, and Van's men hurried over to where he was.“Boss, are you alright?” His men asked him as they tried to help him up.Van refused the help by slapping off their hands. He slowly rose to his feet, and despite the resistance he felt, he managed to stand straight and look at Perseus. “You think you are tough, don’t you?” Van asked Perseus, his eyes blazing with fury, because he had just made fun of himself in the presence of so many people.Perseus pulled Delinder to the other side before glaring at Van. “My girlfriend already told you about Father blessing our relationship. You are old news.”Van’s face turned red with rage as Perseus said that to him. His gaze turned to everyone in the room; they were staring at him, and a few were snickering.“I thought they were a thing, but who would have guessed that Van was going to be tossed away like trash?” One of the ladies mut
