“Shit, shit!” Ryan cursed, his vision blurry as he regained consciousness.

His teeth clenched, and he winced again. His clothes were torn in several places, and he had cuts all over his body, drenched in blood.

It was a miracle that he was still alive. It was a miracle that he could still use his legs. Maybe they had pitied him, or perhaps they kept him alive to mock him.
