Chapter 433_Swollen Face
Soon, Perseus was back in the basement. Kara was glancing at Xell, whose right cheek was swollen. Perseus stared at Timtat, who shrugged as if to say he couldn’t stop her from hitting Xell.

“I didn’t tell you to hit him yet, Kara,” Perseus mumbled.

She spun around to look at him. “He didn’t want to talk about it. I asked him so many questions, and he just kept staring at me. I punched him in the face when he didn’t respond.”

Perseus ran his hand through his hair. “I didn’t ask you to hit him, though.”

“I know, and I’m not sorry,” Kara said, folding her arms and stepping away from Xell. “To think that I tried to trust him and let down my guard is crazy,” she ranted.

Stepping closer to Xell, Perseus squatted, his eyes level with Xell’s.

“So, what were you about to tell us earlier?”

“Seth is not the only boss. Several other men act like the boss and get information directly from the real boss. None of us know who the boss is or what he looks like because he has never shown himself.”
