Lexi nodded her head. “Yes, the evidence is a weapon against him. He can't be let out for an attempted murder, but the Sullivans are sure going to pull some tricks.”

“Can I take it to court?’’ Perseus inquired. “If it is possible, I would like to get it done as soon as possible.”

Lexi smiled at him. “Sure, I will speak to Mr. Logan about it. He had been trying to get stains on the Sullivan.”

Perseus rose to his feet, the plate of food untouched. “Thanks for looking out for me, Lexi; it's a pleasure knowing that someone cares about me.”

“What do you mean?” She pouted. “I am a sheriff, and it is my job to protect the citizens.”

He grinned at her. “Why don't you pay for a citizen's breakfast then?”

She scowled at him. “It is your restaurant! Why do I have to pay?!”

However, Perseus was already joking outside the restaurant without looking back at her. He had only an hour left before class.

Perseus was done running and was opening the door to the villa when his phone buzzed. He ch
