I thought that we had them within eighteen minutes. As soon as the monkeys arrived, another three minutes passed by, and now we were down to fifteen minutes. It was not bad. And not a single boss bit us from behind. But I had thought wrong. The battle had just begun. The horde of boss-like monsters finally entered the fray and created tidal waves enough to move the boat in a zigzag manner. These crashed waves created by the beasts even attempted to move us back from where we had come from, away from our destination. Thankfully, Captain Israel got us covered as she steered the boat. I got her back and protected Captain Israel as she put her hands on the steering wheel and navigated her way towards our original path. However, we also had to deal with the raging marine fiends below the water. And they didn’t come friendly. It would take me a few hours or minutes to describe every monster that appeared in the ocean. But I could name a few. The kraken and the megalodon boss also appear
We only had twelve minutes to win and survive what was about to happen. After finding out the weak spots of the monsters, Captain Israel offered all the pirate crew and herself to me as I became the temporary general for this brigade. “What are you planning us to do, Arata? Just say the word, and the pirates are yours to command,” Captain Israel stated, with her eyes looking into mine. Not that in a romantic way…“I need you to hit the glowing thingy on…” I paused for a second, reminding myself that these dumbasses were blind as fuck. It was not because they were ill. My selfish system had a mind of its own and decided to resent anyone who wished to have this prowess of mine. So instead of telling the pirates to attack the creatures with the “glowing thingy” I told them… “Do you see that limb over there?”“What do you mean by that ‘thingy?’” Captain Israel asked.I yelled, 1 cracking my voice, “THAT LIMB, YOU….” I held back the word I wanted to say as I left a horrible grunt while ma
I wanted to ask if Kirameki was hurt from what had happened, but it was bluntly obvious. Kirameki was catching her breath. But despite what had happened to her, Kirameki never complained and cared for the less fortunate ones who got hit by the monster. She didn’t suffer a fatal blow, but Kirameki was still hurt. Her wounds were just scratches on her shoulders and hands, and that was about it. Thankfully, those grazes were the only thing she had suffered. If Kirameki were to receive such a devastating blow… I didn’t know what I was about to do with myself. I left my sister in the hands of Francoise and Azure, who were also wounded from the previous strike coming from the kraken. Both of these women were now prohibited to fight. And even if Francoise and Azure could lift their weapons and cast their spells, I doubted their bodies would last much longer. We needed them conscious more than their spells, since their abilities couldn’t hurt a snail. It was better if they could nurse the inj
From the pirate’s point of view, Captain Israel and I fighting together was something unusual. Even I couldn’t believe it. But we did.My electric sword was my bread and butter, allowing me to slice through anything with lightning speed movements paired with electrifying current. It added up to my damage. But I had never thought that moment would end too quickly. And now my hopes shattered into pieces. The only way for us to win was for me to use my lightning saber and hoped for the best. That was what I thought. However, now that it was gone, our options became limited. And I had to use my normal sword as my weapon, limiting me from using any damage at all.‘This is the ceiling I would eventually hit if I come face to face with an enemy where I cannot copy their spells,’ I thought, while fighting against the small-fries first before eventually hitting the gargantuan ones.Just like what I had thought, the rapier did its job, but it was inferior to the lightning blade or imbuing it wi
The Aspidochelone was wounded thanks to the slashing technique Captain Israel taught me. It kept wriggling left to right as if dodging an invisible spell, and continued to move in a zigzag manner every now and then. That beast wasn’t aware of its surroundings. But given its killer instinct, the Aspidochelone somehow knew exactly where to find me and the boat. The same could be described towards the other boss-like creatures, except they moved in an animal manner. I was a human, so I could tell. Nothing was different the last time the monsters and I clashed against each other. But it seemed that these creatures were a bit desperate, as they used their physical spells against us and disregarded everything in its way, including their own kind. The monster still chose to tackle the boat despite its wobbling motions, only for it to collide with the megalodon shark and hit it on the spot. Both their health bars decreased. And the collision was enough to even immobilise the Aspidochelone,
Natural rubbers were hydrophobic, meaning they cannot absorb water. But since it had come this way, the electric current and the poison mixed with the water seeping through the ship was a problem. The water slightly turned yellowish, indicating that the toxAlthough we didn’t have to deal with it right now, it may become a problem afterward. Some pirates were trying to keep their guts together, but they had been showing signs of nausea. While others had vomited on the floor. Their eyes were a bit different too as they began to enlarge and emit a bloody red paste surrounding their orbs. My sister would be affected soon if I chose to let this pass. And she was.The moment I set my eyes in Kirameki’s direction, she desperately held her breath and fought back the pain. Kirameki had her hands tied around her abdomen, and it gave me hints that it was the source and origin of her agony. This poison had already infected her intestines. She wriggled too much, but made sure nobody would notice

I got myself back on track and surveyed the scene. We crashed by a beach of some sort, and the ship had finally turned into ruins. There was no forest. But as I set my eyes forward, there was a bulk of trees nesting near the mountains where the human settlement could be found. And when I lifted my head, the skies were dyed black. It was midnight. The stars and the oddly shaped moons illuminated the dark world. Although no sound seeped through the place, the echoes from the marine creatures and other places far from here travelled and reached this place. It was a warning, not a threat. And everywhere we would go, there would be a time to meet them. Most pirates would be asleep right now as Captain Israel demanded rest for everyone after landing in this area. I too fell flat on the sand, hoping that our endeavour had ended. And it did…I opened my settings and tracked down Horizon from Captain Israel’s previous instructions. My map appeared before me and marked a green circle around th
