Chapter 24

The Chinese company was allegedly indebted to Ponzi schemes, ghost worker payroll, illegal transactions and blood money circulation. The owner was revealed to be Mister Donnie Yun, a business mogul. The building was also destroyed.

Maks frowned at a censored image of Donnie slumped against the wall of the building.

He noticed that the demon dogs were just as invisible as Elvis on a regular basis. So it looked like the awakeners were agitated for one reason or another...

The house was quiet***Maks was in his room sound asleep, and Elvis was strolling around the house in the night scouting for any more anomalies. It had been days or months since he brawled devil dogs. His eyes flashed into the night and he growled.

At the onset of dawn, Maks woke up with muscle aches, and headaches, he practised his forms and did all sorts of stretching to take away the tension. His blood pressure kept rising and falling. He suffered unrest for more days than he could count.
