Will Valve’s Perspective Bonus Chapter (part 11) ______________________ Just as I was having a personal talk with my daughter, some goblins stabbed my back using their rocks as their weapon. The sharpened stone pierced through my skin as the sword ripped through my chest. Fortunately, the blade didn’t cut through my heart or any other organs beside it. But I suspected that the strike broke my ribs, cut my veins, and ultimately caused me to bleed out. My eyes couldn’t keep up as blood kept gushing out from my back and front. As time passed by, my legs wobbled like springs and wished to lay flat on the ground. But the job here was not yet done as the goblins continued smacking my head using their fists. However, the pain coursing through my back negated those hits. Unfortunately, my body knew better than me as I slowly kissed the ground. “Tris… Get back… Save yourself… I love you, Tris… Daddy loves you.” I knew this was the end, so I exchanged goodbyes with my daughter and pleaded
Will Valve’s PerspectiveBonus Chapter (part 12)______________________“Don’t worry about your body, Will. It healed thanks to my healer,” Akai muttered, as he returned his sword back to his scabbard, despite the number of monsters forming in front of me.But regardless of the overwhelming members of our enemies, the goblins, ogres, and whatnot refused to make a move after what they saw earlier. Maybe witnessing their peers dying from the man who did nothing but held his sword was more terrifying than a veteran soldier. But thanks to this mysterious guy who claimed himself as the leader of the Crimson Guild named Akai, I was saved. And my daughter as well was taken away by his guild, which was always a good thing. However, I still wanted to know what had happened to my body. This didn’t just magically heal itself for no reason. The only logical guess I had was he injected me with something, and the syringe wasn’t felt by my skin. But I had a feeling that magic was the answer, especia
Will Valve’s Perspective Bonus Chapter (part 13) ______________________ As I studied every little detail about this party, Akai already made his move and used his sword hidden in his scabbard and conjured blue flames dancing around him. These flames circling on his body did not harm him in any way. But despite the fire Akai had created, the man added more things to his disposal and placed it on his sword. A turbulent force emerged from the blade, telling everyone that an energy of some sort was contained at the blade’s tip. The next thing I knew, lightning appeared behind Akai as he prepared everything before cutting through the monsters. And, within a few moments, Akai lifted his sword and jolted straight at the creatures. The army of monsters, which I assumed had a number less than ten thousand inside this cave, disappeared without a trace. It didn’t even take five second for him to clear the path. And when Akai was done with whatever he was doing, the man returned to his post, s
Will Valve’s PerspectiveBonus Chapter (part 14)______________________Akai escorted me inside a car, while Elizabeth and Oscar went in a different vehicle. The two of us didn’t converse with each other, despite as much as I wanted to. Well, it was because Akai told me to keep my mouth shut and he will explain everything by the time we enter the guild. We passed by multiple roads and houses. Our cars even entered highways that were usually barricaded with something and a sign telling everyone the place was private property. But within a few hours, the scenery changed. It was still near the village, and we remained inside the city. Dozens of buildings confirmed my speculations, but I didn’t know this place existed. Our automobiles parked on the side, which was then later on greeted by adventurers wearing the same fantasy-like attires. These people bowes their heads before welcoming Akai and the rest of the elite members of this guild. As soon as Akai and I got out, the adventurers out
Will Valve’s PerspectiveBonus Chapter (part 15)______________________As soon as I heard and acknowledged what Akai meant, I knew I couldn’t resist defending myself. But even though I had my reasons, my claims alone were truly selfish. So instead of telling Akai I had ulterior reasons to protect the world and make it a better place, I announced to him that I became selfish… especially after…Before I could even answer Akai’s question, I sent my daughter to the next room for the time being. I didn’t want Tris to hear whatever Akai and I would discuss. Some of our conversations might include topics she wouldn’t understand, while others would be related to the job Akai was offering me. When Tris heard my request, the attendant accompanied my daughter back to her temporary room and closed the door. Even though we just met for a few minutes, I still had some important things to do before spending our time with each other. And from the looks of it, Akai and his team members still had som
Will Valve’s PerspectiveBonus Chapter (part 16)______________________But after we’ve experienced it, how can we live an average life after everything? After fighting and escaping from the wrath of those monsters, how can I be sure that we won’t encounter one again? I still had so many questions inside my head, and I knew that most queries would be left unanswered. Even the folks that witnessed the portal’s appearance had little to no clue about them. The only thing that Akai and the rest of the adventurers knew was to deal with the monsters and conquer these dimensions, but not prevent them from appearing on our world. For the meantime, we stayed in a hotel not far from the Crimson Guild. Much to my surprise, even the hotel knew about Akai and my presence. Since it had come to this, all staff working on the hotel treated me as a celebrity. They even reserved a room for me to stay for the night… or for the rest of my days. The manager even showed up and told me that I could be the
Will Valve’s PerspectiveBonus Chapter (part 17)______________________As soon as I received my first assignment, I was sent out two days after resting inside the Crimson Guild hotel. Akai told me to spend some time with my daughter for the next following days before the time of my assignment.Just like Akai had promised, the man gave us a thousand benefits for joining the guild. Considering that I would act as the leader of the elite force of their organisation, I had almost the same power as the secretary - Akai’s right hand man. I could also manage the minor parties involved for the expeditions of other party members, and my progress will be monitored through the number of portals the parties have conquered and the number of adventurers returned from battle. Besides the perks I received, Akai gave my daughter everything she needed, including a scholarship from the most prestigious school in the entire world, cash money, and bodyguards and friends she would have throughout her scho
Will Valve’s PerspectiveBonus Chapter (part 18)______________________It had been only a few months since the official launch of our team. Fortunately, we were still alive and defeating portals one after the other. After all we had been through ,we conquered approximately hundreds of portals within days. Some portals took us days to disappear thanks to the monsters guarding inside, while others require us to do various things without showcasing our strengths against those monstersWe learned that each portal had its own rules and instructions on ways to defeat it. Akai didn’t include this in our memo. Our team only learned it once we were on the battlefield. As luck would have it, our coordination was superb. And I did not encounter any troubles ordering these people around just like what I did to my previous troops in the military. It seemed that I had earned their trust when we defeated the first portal. Elizabeth and Oscar voiced their doubts, but as we swept through the portals
