(~-_-~)
Teacher Kang had even more black lines on his face, watching the already madly injured and soaked Gray stand from the fountain's pond, turning his butt to face everyone while placing his hands on his ears to mock them.
Why didn't he notice how shameless Gray was?
What was he? 3?
Even a 3-year-old could act better than him.
"Lalalalalalalalalalalala~... I'm safe, I'm safe, you all cannot hit me, you all cannot touch me, I'm safe I'm safe, I'm fucking safe, so you can all kiss my ass!"
Teacher Kang was amazed at how one person had the ability to anger the masses.
Everyone who was about to receive punishment had fiery eyes that for a moment glowed an imaginary red and evil hue.
Their fists were clenched and even the ordinary people had a menacing aura that was hard to miss.
Their hairs were standing up in fury and Teacher Kang felt that should he throw Gray from the fountain into the masses, he might be beaten to death, eaten alive, and even his bones boiled in a broth soup to appease their fury.
Teacher Kang didn't know why, but he suddenly had the premonition that this guy would give him a whirlpool of headaches from today onward.
Luckily, it was Gray's last school year.
Teacher Kang thought that a person like Gray who entered the school already crippled, while all taking additional injuries prior to entering, should have the brains to lay low and be humble.
Clearly, he underestimated the student's shamelessness.
"Bastard!" He barked furiously. "What are you still doing there? Admiring the flowers? If I blink my eyes, open them and still see you there, I'll let you join the group since you miss them so much."
Gray's lips twitched.
Miss them? Don't be silly. Do you not see they all want him dead?
He was more than comfortable talking smack when he was on this side of the gates.
"Teacher Kang, I thought you were a nice guy. Throwing him to the masses was public execution and you know it!" Gray inwardly retorted.
Just thinking of the consequences was enough to cause Gray's legs to move on their own without any instructions from his brain.
Still, his mouth couldn't let this situation fly like this.
"Teacher, you said I should vanish before you blink; but is that fair to an injured, common, innocent, cute and wonderful person like myself?"
"_"
"What's more, haven't you already blinked 3 times now?"
"_"
"Unfairness! Unfairness to the poor and innocent! I want to protest! I want to fight for my rights! I want to pro-!
"Protest my foot!" Teacher Kang exclaimed, taking off one of his dynamite boots and shooting into the school grounds. It almost landed its mark on Gray.
How is this for unfairness?
Boom!
A very audible but small explosion echoed, as the ground close to Gray's street shook and crudely made pavement blocks were now flying several feet high before landing away from the little crater created by impact.
F***!
"Old bastard Kang, are you trying to kill him? That could be me, you know?"
"Old bastard? Gray Ravenleaf, you are getting older and bolder by the second."
Oops.
Gray wanted to slap his lips, recalling what he just blurted out. Seeing how red Teacher Kang's head was turning, how dare he stay back any longer?
"This is not over! I will have my last laugh! Ha-hah~!"
"You bloody bastard! You better run or I swear I'll take you on a private tour to Death Valley myself!"
Teacher Kang spoke and cursed so hard that his entire face and body began turning into a peculiar shade of red.
Seeing Teacher Kang so furious, everyone else's anger subsided a bit… though they still swore to teach Gray a lesson once they returned to school after 3 hours of punishment.
So what if he was crippled? Who asked him to be such an eyesore?
"Ah! I have to get to the classroom, the first class is Miss Han's."
Very quickly, Gray limped his bloody, wet, and dirty body away, still trying to act like he was in a whirl of pain.
Luckily for him, he kept his act up so well that no one could doubt him, as he fell, crawled, cursed at the pain in his legs.
The way he limped was also comical too. Nonetheless, it was good he kept up with appearances because high, far in a towering tower next to the school, 2 men stood on a balcony.
The light in their eyes was that which commanded authority.
One of them had arms crossed against his chest, while another had arms in his pockets, as they both leaned against the wall underneath the shaded part of the balcony.
One was red-haired, and another was dark-haired.
The red-haired one smiled slyly.
He had thick red fur wrapped around his neck.
His suit and hat were also black with red buttons and red lining too.
His suspenders were of course red, and his gloves red as well.
Pfft~
He couldn't help it. He coughed on his cigar, almost laughing to the point of his boy hurting.
What a character. The man swore that in all his travels, he has never seen anyone as entertaining as Gray.
With a cigar in his mouth, he really couldn't stop laughing.
"Spade, I think you're getting a bit too slack. It's amazing that you crippled an ordinary boy and he's still so active. Are you sure you didn't go soft on him? The fact that he is so alive and full of energy enough to make an entire group want to kill him is amazing."
Amazing? If you consider that a talent.
Spade looked at the documents in his hands and nodded. "The boy's life is too strong. Looking at his report, it's also a miracle he didn't die or sustain any brain injuries these past years."
Even Spade was maxed by how big torture this guy had put up with growing up till now.
Are you sure you're not almost in a negative state? Are you sure you're truly sound in mind?
Even Spade doubted he would have survived so long without any talents or powerful backers.
"The boy has endurance, I'll give him that."
You have to know that even though Spade never unleashed his Awakened powers at the boy, his physical strengths were something many couldn't handle.
He did lower it to 0.01% when crippling the boy's legs. This small bit was enough to keep ordinary people pile the boy bedridden.
Yet, the boy was still up....
Spade would have found it all suspicious if not for the boy's painful cries when walking alone with 'no one' around.Every little step looked like he was walking on nails as tall as trees. At times, he even heard the boy curse his ill fate for meeting him last night. The boy also went on and on about wanting to walk straight someday too. He cursed and resented the heavens as if they were the ones who injured him. This alone proved his actions last night were proficient. It can only be seen that due to the boy's extraordinary endurance levels, he was able to pretend to be strong in front of others and swallow his pain quietly, probably not wanting others to further look down on him.Heh. Spade tapped his fingers on the balcony rails rhythmically, his eyes growing colder with disgust. "He does have a high endurance level, but that's all there is to it. With his capabilities and lowly spirit score, he won't become anything else other than an underground worker, keeping this bloody s
Here we go again. Stepping into his class, Gray suddenly felt he was being targeted by the whole world. "Gray Ravenleaf! Stop for me!"The sexy Teacher Han roared with undisguised disgust."Trash like you is still coming late despite your capabilities?""But--" "Shut up!" Miss Han threw a piece of chalk violently at his desk, causing a deep hole on its surface. "You still dare to quibble? Stand up on your desk for me!"Miss Han hated poor people the most, talk less of those without talent! It was one to be poor, but now, you also have no talent, then what's the use of you?If she were the one, she would just jump over a building and end it all.Pushing flicking her luscious green hair, she moved her seductive body across the aisle, toward Gray. The green aura she released was no joke, as it particularly choked Gray. Gray felt an invisible force strangling his neck. The feeling was very uncomfortable.Everyone also chuckled in excitement, wanting to watch the good show that was a
Although it wasn't ideal, Gray decided to do it with the new skill bestowed on him by the system. Back to reality, no more than 2 seconds had gone by since Gray began talking with the system. All onlookers were shocked by how long Gray had stayed alive since his daring act. "You!--"Teacher Han woke from her stupor, holding her chest in defense and stepping back with anger and shame written all over her face. It was so shameful that a young vibrant girl of 89 like herself was feeling overwhelmed and intimidated by this trash's disgusting eyes.(Although She was 89, her face looked to be in her late teens.)Teacher Han felt a shiver crawl up her spine when lifting her head to stare at the boy whose eyes were still shamelessly glued on her perky bosoms. She indeed undid 2 of her bottoms for maximum sex appeal, but did she ever say she wanted it from a little brat who didn't even have money or power? How disgusting! She felt as though worms were crawling on her body from the thought
Leaving the school premises with a limping leg and a bloodied body, Gray's thoughts were far. The stronghold he was in is often ranked 27th out of 30 within The Z-Sphere Area.Just like the letter represented, Z-sphere was the worst place to live in in this Apocalyptic era.Resources for evolution and advancement were hard to find here, and even the air was too polluted compared to other reasons. The fog was thicker and everything was just so dull. More importantly, the zombies and mutated creatures here were too weak to boost an awkener's fighting capabilities.Strong zombies only thrive in places where opportunities can be found. They were drawn to those places like flies following light on a dark night. It was because the air in those regions was also infused with rich vitality that could make one rank up faster. Thus, a place like Z-sphere, which was way down the Alphabetical order, was also humanity's weakest and undesirable zone. Feeling his goggles clog up again with dirt

Emelia once thought of herself as a calm and collected person, but being in Gray's presence was enough to turn her into Godzilla. Crossing her hands against her chest he narrowed her gaze at the annoying Gray before her."Aren't you worried that after discovering your secret, I'll tell the world what you're hiding?" Gray lifted his shoulders and shrugged casually. "The moment I knew it was you and decided not to attack and kill you endlessly, I already knew you wouldn't."As a universal Punching bag, Gray has met too many villains in this world to easily decipher the attitudes of many. Although Enmelia had never been friendly with him in the past, she also didn't give him a hard time, only ignoring him. It was as though he was invisible. Gray felt he was a good judge of character, knowing you should be able to keep a secret. Besides, if she wanted his secret known, she would've sent a guard or someone working from her prestigious family to scout his home. There's a saying that
Waking up, Gray felt refreshed for the first time in a long while. His smile was high, his head was bobbing to a beat he made up all on his own, and he was twirling in bliss, not minding the neighbor couple below stomping on his floors and door telling him to keep it down.Today, he didn't even care that he was beaten to death.Nothing could stop his shine! (^_^)"Boots... Check!" "Gloves... Check!""Wind scarf?... Check!""Trusty Black goggles... double check!" Grabbing a slightly moldy donut as hard as a stone, Gray dunked it in water before heating it over a pot, allowing the heat to recook it up. It wasn't the best meal option, but as someone with dry pockets, how can he complain knowing how broke he was? "Ah-- It's hot." Biting a chunk of the doughnut to keep it stationary on his lips, Gray reached for the black goggles dangling on his neckline. Great! Now, he was ready to set off. Well, at least the crippled version of him was. Aiyo~"My leg... my poor leg." Bring in t
In silence, Gray followed Emelia with his hands in his pockets, though his eyes kept staring sideways within the faint fog. You never know who could be watching or listening. This was a commercial place, and the fog here was 80% less than in the poor communities. A single stronghold is a combination of several cities or towns before the apocalyptic era was ushered in.Humanity fought and built walls around these captured territories. Thus, the stronghold is extremely large with each major clan controlling 1 territory the size of a standard city. The good places with less fog and worries were kept for the wealthy, middle class, those starting to rise, and commercial purposes. As for the poor and those labeled Stronghold workers, they lived in the dumps, the worst places within the stronghold.Bam!A vehicle missing 2 doors slammed into another wagon-styled one without mercy. "Prick! This is what you get for trying to sideways one on the road!""Bastard! You Arelis bastards are gett
