Chapter 119

In the corner of the playground, charles. stood alone, his back pressed against the cold brick wall of the school building.

His hands were shoved into the pockets of his worn-out hoodie, and his eyes were fixed on the ground, trying to ignore the taunts from the group of kids surrounding him.

Charles flinched but didn’t respond. The other kids snickered, their eyes gleaming with cruel excitement. The news about his father's death has circulated and the kids took their moment to bully him.

Although Charles fought back, he beat a kid yesterday that bullied him, and the teacher took the kid's side and threatened to expel him if he caused any trouble, he didn't want to cause trouble for his mother.
