Chapter 14

As Elena emerged from the police station, she was surprised to see Alexander standing outside, smiling and waving at him. She ran towards him, asking, "Alexander, what happened? How did we get out? Has the money been paid, who paid it?"

Alexander smiled, "I found a friend in prison with high-profile connections. He helped us out."

Elena looked confused, folding her arms. "Hmm, who is this friend? He must be very popular to help us out from Jeremy."

Alexander hesitated, not wanting to reveal his true identity. "Let's just say he's a powerful person who owes me a favor. Don't worry about it, Elena. We're safe now."

Elena nodded, still looking unsure, but she decided not to say anything or pry into his privacy. "We should go home for Charles; he must have been anxious," Alexander stated.

Elena nodded, and as they were about to leave, the police car stopped in front of them, and the two policemen who arrested them dragged Jeremy and his sister out of the car.

"Get your dirty hands off me!
