15. She died a virgin. 2

Benjamin Reed's current condition was critical and unknown to the Senior nurses that his blood reacted differently than normal people, the nurse had injected some kind of drug into Benjamin's body. That was the only option she could think about and even though the nurse actually didn't know what he injected him with she actually didn't care. All she cared about was her dignity. Priscilla is the senior nurse at the hospital despite the fact that she bribed her way into getting that position, there was no way she was going to let someone take it away. Even if it meant killing.

Priscilla was just standing there waiting for whatever the girl in front of her might ask. And she hated acting like she cared because she didn't. She didn't give a damn about the girl even if she was going to kill herself.

Clara came to stand beside the nurse she almost killed few minutes ago. Clara wasn't really thinking straight at the moment until she recalled the note her parents left. They had told her to call their uncle soon after they left the jungle.

Clara brought her face close to Priscilla's ear. "Hand me your phone. I need to call my uncle."

Priscilla pulled her latest phone. "Please don't crush it, That boy friend of yours crushed the first one. If you ruin this one you will replace it. "

She knew the girl in front of her was definitely crazy.

Clara took the phone and began to memorize the digits before punching it into the cell phone.

At the mayor's office...

"Sir!" An attractive lady entered the door a few meters from her front desk. "A person is on the phone and she said she is your... " Her master took the phone before she finished the later sentence. " Hello this is the new Mayor of San Diego," He recited.

Clara paused after hearing those. Has someone taken her father's position already? Or she made a wrong dial. It couldn't be. Him of all people had taken her father's place. Did he know her father was dead? "It's me Sir…"

"Uncle, they are dead."

Clara couldn't held back after she was certain it was her uncle " She stammered .'' They are all dead. And I am the only one left. Please hurry up and pick me up from this hell."

Her uncle knew what she was referring to but decided to act as if he had no idea. But he thought Clara was inside the glass tube probably about to transform into something useful so what happened? " Hold it, I need to pick up this call urgently." He hung up and picked up his private phone.

" Hello boss, If you are hearing this it means they escaped." The voice inside the phone said.

He stood up. "What?" He slammed his fits against the table. " I told you to keep an eye on those kids! What went wrong?"

"Sir, your lab exploded and I don't know whether they survived or not.

I myself nearly died in that explosion. And the rest of my men are in critical condition " He told him.

" I left you with just a small task for the first time in your life and you let me DOWN! Because of you Clara is somewhere and I have lost another successful transhuman. " He roared.

Before Criss Fenty, Clara's uncle had turned another person into a weapon that would have been his avatar but that subject just ran away the other night just like Clara. That's why he is now going to plant controlling devices in every child he is going to kidnap. "Fail me once more and you are Dead!"

" Sir I am really sorry." Said Fenty " it won't happen again."

" I don't want to hear anymore from you. Take this in carefully. I will send you their current position and go there and finish what I started. This time don't fuck around!" He ended the call.

Clara had already moved back to her room angry at herself that she showed her uncle how weak she was. Her uncle knew her to be strong and she had ruined all of it. Her uncle had been over the years the best she ever had. Her uncle usually takes her out to parties and games whenever her parents leave her in the house.

The senior nurse came back in with her phone indicating that her uncle had called. "Hello Clara, what is it you were saying?"

Clara was in a state of shock after finding out that her uncle had called again. "Uncle My parents! They died." She told him, wiping her teary eyes with her clothes. "We got kidnapped and then they trapped me inside a glass thing." The tears were coming too much. The more she spoke the more she remembered Ricky. "Ricky is dead!"

Her uncle was just silent all the while. He knew all of it but he pretended as if he didn't know anything about their deaths. "I am sorry you have to go through all this alone. Clara," he consoled her. "But everything is going to be fine, just tell me your current location. So I can come and pick you personally."

" OKAY" That was when Clara realized they were in Brazil and she could tell by the scenery from the window. "I think we are in Brazil ." She told him.

" Okay Clara, I am glad you are okay, now hand the phone to the owner " The moment she gave the phone back to the Nurse her uncle whispered something to the nurse. "That girl there is my niece. I will fund you a total of 500,000$ to kidnap her and lock her somewhere safe. She is not normal" When Priscilla the senior nurse heard such a huge amount she couldn't resist. And also how Clara managed to survive that accident was nearly impossible for every human.

Now a few minutes went by quickly and Clara was beginning to get bored and lonely just sitting in her room so she decided to take a nap. That's when she heard whispers in her sleep.

Two familiar voices were discussing something secretive just outside her window and the tone of their voices made it sound creepy : "Erene, Why don't you want to be a part of this? Don't you want money? Don't you want to have a good life and spend money? The man is going to pay us 500,000$ only if we lock up those two. Especially that rude girl. The man knows about her abnormal condition. There are matters not even the doctors themselves could explain" The senior nurse muttered. "Let's just leave her to him."

" Priscilla, What changed right now?. Few moments ago you cared about those kids and in a blink. You want to hand them over to that man?"

"She is her uncle" Priscilla correct her.

" Is he that Wicked?" Erene's voice almost messed up. " I receive 5k a month and I am happy with it. I don't need any extras from killers" she said leaving.

"5 thousand? No wonder you look so frail. That few money cannot even last with you for 3week's Erene, We are not going to kill those kids. All we need to do is to just kidnap them while they are sleeping. And the boy is already sleeping just left only with that little b*tch" She ended pointing at the window where Clara was peeking through.

" You are my friend but I cannot let you do this" Erene said.

" Am not your friend! Erene," Priscilla yelled." This and many other reasons why we can't be friends. Say goodbye to me if you are not going to help me. "

" Fine, I always choose the right thing." Erene finished off. *I am leaving* With her back facing her senior nurse Erene left leaving Priscilla standing.

Clara sat on the bed unsure of everything she just heard.. First she got kidnapped by a beast, then her parents died, now Ricky is dead and someone wants to kidnap them ? This is not happening. Her heart was thudding really hard in her chest. 'Oh my God. Benjamin!' She hasn't really talked to him after all the things that happened last night. She remembered Benjamin being shot multiple times in his legs. Yet he was the one that came to rescue her despite losing Ricky. 'I need to tell Benjamin!"

Opposite the emergency ward, Benjamin was on the bed bleeding from his ears, his nose and any other hole in his body. His hands was shaking. His legs didn't stop from stomping against the bed. All his veins were bulging out. Benjamin would have felt an intense pain if it weren't for the fact that he was already in a coma.

The effect lasted for an hour before his cells started reacting.

Erene's eyes nearly bulged out after coming to see Benjamin's critical condition. All his body was in sweat and his hands didn't stop vibrating.

It was then she saw the drug her senior had injected him with. "Why didn't I know she was evil all this while." She took the chemical and blinked few times inside the big lens. "This is acid!" Erene's quickly went into the medicine store and pulled out the neutralizers. After she had returned she quickly stabbed the medicine on Benjamin's chest.

The pain in Benjamin Reed's body started reducing then his cells were stabilizing. And the internal bleeding had stopped. If Conian was still in control maybe all this wouldn't have happened.

Few moments later the acid was neutralized and all that Erene was disturbed about was his lungs. If some few of those chemicals get to his heart or lungs then that would be enough to damage all his cells, killing him within just an hour.

"Benjamin!" Erene Placed her hands on his burning forehead for the third time and the boy's eyes started opening. Quickly Erene stabbed Benjamin with another medicine. His body was still rolling on the bed until suddenly Benjamin sat up like a corpse before opening his eyes. "What happened?" He asked, holding his throbbing head. "Why do I feel this much pain?"

"You lost some few blood but don't worry. You are okay now" She lied, concerned about the acid still left in his body.

Out of nowhere Clara barged inside the room almost breathless.

" They want us dead. They want to kidnap us. Let's get out of here. " But when she saw Erene just standing beside Benjamin still holding the needle. She looked around and spotted a scissors just not far ahead and instantly swiped the blade and pinned Erene to the wall. "Don't you even think about it you witch."

" What is going on?" Said Benjamin, having no clue of what Clara was doing.

Clara looked at Erenes' eyes with pure disdain. "She wants to kidnap us." Clara brought the blade closer to her throat.

Benjamin was the one that was even more angry. Turns out these humans haven't changed a bit. " I heard them talking about keeping us until someone comes in and takes us away Benjamin !" She said, still pinning her against the wall.

After being inside the glass cage, she had begun to feel this sudden strength inside her body. Even though Clara hasn't realized it yet. Her rage might definitely be the same thing that will cause her to destroy everyone….

Erene dropped the neutralizer on the ground immediately. "You are mistaken! I swear. Just as I want to get laid before I die. It was Priscilla the senior that wanted you both dead. That man is your…" Erene paused. If Clara was to find out it was her own uncle that wanted to kidnap her. She wasn't certain what might happen to Clara. "Look! Read this chemical You will know I am on your side."

" We can't trust anyone Clara !"Benjamin said trying to stop her from getting distracted but he was too late.

Clara got time to read the details on the chemical. It was nothing but an acid neutralizer. " My Senior nurse has already injected an acid into your body. That's why I rushed here to neutralize it." Both of them were eerily silent. Clara knew what an acid was capable of doing. And if what the nurse said was true then The person responsible for this is truly evil. Only if Vanessa was here to meet someone just evil as her….

After Erene had explained everything to them. Clara thought for a while then let go of her grip

But she was still holding the scissors.

"So who wants to kidnap us again. Is it that driver?" Benjamin asked, sitting well.

" Don't ask me who. All that matters is that we need to leave the hospital as soon as possible." Clara's sudden cold voice shocked Benjamin. Maybe it might have something to do with Ricky's death. Benjamin reasoned.

Irene waited until both of them were silent "I may be a help. I know a quick exit at the corner of the bathroom let me lead you there. " She finished walking to stand at the entrance. Not knowing someone else was already waiting for them.

Benjamin and Clara thought for a while before they decided to be with her on the road. They stood up heading towards the door then they saw a humanoid figure standing just behind Erene. "Nurse look!" Clara and Benjamin screamed!!

"How dare you betray me!"

The person thrust the scissor exactly at Erene's nape. As they watched closely it was nobody else but Priscilla the senior nurse standing there with a big grin on her face .
