Chapter 7

Right after we entered we were seen by the emperor and he then called for us,

" Hm, welcome yuusha and cain you too, the esteemed guests will be arriving in a while so both of can familiarise yourself with the people that are here right now,

Yuusha you may come with me, we have got people from the south that wanted to see you,

Cain, you may….umm….go and relax yourself while both me and the yuusha will be back in a while,

As for the maids, you both can stand at the corner and wait till we come back,

Let's go now yuusha. "

The emperor said and then went with Rei to the people that were waiting for him,

Both Penelope and Rei's maid went too,

"  *sigh* And now I'm left all alone…….I should probably get some fresh air outside, this whole….suit like clothes may look cool but they are kinda uncomfortable for me to wear and even hard to move in. "

I then go outside through one of the doors and then enter the balcony, there was only one person just a few metres away but I don't wanted to start a conversation with someone I don't know, at least not when I don't even know who or what status the person itself have,

Otherwise it might cause issues for Rei or the emperor itself, so I kinda went away and just looked at the view, gazing at the clouds and admiring the beauty,

I don't know if my ears heard it right but I think I heard that person calling out to me,

"  *distinct voice*    hey……..hey….

HEY !!!!!! "

That person yelled out to me,

I then tried to cover up my ears after realising how loud her voice was because I didn't realise that she was calling out to me,

" ( Holy mother of jesus, just who is this moron- ) "

I looked at the face of this girl…….she was beautiful, her eyes…..sky blue, her hair…..pure white….. and her skin….just like the colour of the snow,

" Ah- *ahem* I apologise for not hearing you call out to me before, do you need my help with something or ? "

I asked the woman who was now full on pouting,

" About damn time you answered me, I have been asking you this for god knows how long,

State your name and your purpose to come here, this is not any small gathering that just anyone will come to,

Did you not know ? Only people from high class nobility were invited here, were you even invited here ? Or do you even have the invitation on you ?

Yup, she's definitely your villainess heroine straight out of a novel, tho I can't really do anything if she's really the granddaughter of the emperor, I will not apologise since I didn't really do anything,

Just when I was about to say something, Rei entered the balcony and then called out to me,

" Ah, so you were here. "

" Rei ? What are you doing here ? "

" Well I met the people the emperor introduced me to and then excused myself plus I was getting bored since my comrades didn't really arrived yet so I thought I'll pass the time with you,

But then I couldn't find you anywhere so I asked your maid if she knew where you were, and she told me you went to the balcony, Anyway,

Who is this lady ? Were you talking to her ? "

" Wait- Rei ? You mean, as in the Yuusha Rei ? You are the hero ? "

" Uhh yes ? "

" Oh where are my manners- I'm Emilia,

Emilia de vancles, the granddaughter of the emperor, it's a pleasure meeting you yuusha, I hope to meet you often from now on. "

" Ah, I'm Rei, the hero as you may know, it's a pleasure to meet you too, I'm not interrupting you or anything am I ? I just wanted to spend some time with my big brother so I hope I wasn't. "

I said with a smirk on my face,

Emilia says and stomps off pouting,

" Hahaha, well now that was fun. "

" Don't mind it, she just didn't know who I was, anyway, now that you are here, tell me, how is it ? The people ? The living style ? And of course, you being the hero- yuusha of this whole world in short. "

" Honestly, it's somewhat believable that we are in a different world but me being the hero ? It feels……weird ? Because I'm not really worthy to be called a hero, I mean I was just chosen right ? Otherwise it could have been you or any other person even,

But I guess I want to protect people, especially my family. It may have a connection or a sort……I don't know, it's weird that's all I can say to you. "

Hm……I understand his point all too well, it's not like I'm enjoying or feeling down because I'm in a different world than ours, but it's hard to explain this feeling, 

It sometimes feels like a dream yet it feels like we were meant to be here……..strange yet not strange at all.
