CHAPTER TEN

YOUR TRICK WOULD NOT WORK ON ME

Startled, James and Ayra both turned around to glance at the source of the voice.

Ayra instantly became confused while James became stunned.

"Hadn't I told you that I'm no longer interested in you?"

The voice continued angrily.

"Sarah, is this guy monitoring you around, why would he be here waiting for you?"

"Maybe he still thought he would be given another chance?"

James' eyes became wide open when he heard what Sarah and her friends were saying.

'What the hell is with these people?!"

Ayra is already staring interestingly at the scene being played out at this moment.

She already gained a little understanding of what was going on, so she does not intend to get involved.

"Did I not just tell you today, never to show before me again in the remaining of your life?"

Sarah stared angrily at James as if she couldn't wait to butcher him.

"Who is this person?"

One of the girls beside Sarah questioned while scrutinizing James.

The moment Sarah heard the question, she became embarrassed.

She instantly gave her two best friends an eye, communicating with them indirectly not say a word.

"This is a poor dude who said he is interested in me, could you imagine such a great insult?"

She responded naturally, looking at James disgustingly.

The instant James and Sarah's two best friends heard this, they became shocked to their core.

They never knew that someone naturally good at lying like this exists in this world.

Sarah's best friends instantly felt amazed, while James felt disgusted by this.

"Oh… so it is someone that does not know his level..."

The person, a girl that looked so ugly in James' eyes also stared disgustingly at him.

"That's right, I wonder who even let him enter in the first place?"

One of Sarah's best friends hurriedly added.

Looking at these people overestimating themselves, James could only shake his head helplessly.

He does not feel moved at all, nor was he mad.

In fact, he does not feel a thing.

It might be because they were unworthy of his attention.

He decided to ignore them and go do what he came here for.

'Wouldn't I become one of them if I joined them yapping like someone that had never seen wealth before in his life,' James thought.

He gave them an expressionless glance.

"Let's go," James said to Ayra, then he waited for her to lead the way.

"Hun… he- he is walking out on you!"

Sarah's other best friend sounded so exaggerated in shock, but James does not care, he was busy staring at Ayra.

(Pa.....)

A slap suddenly reverberated in the hall, making everyone around James stunned.

Nobody was expecting that at all.

Even the girl that told Sarah James was leaving has her mouth became wide open at this instant.

Slowly, James raised his hand, still in shock, he touched the part of his face that felt so hot and heavy at this moment, then he began to feel pain.

He wasn't expecting this at all.

Not even in his wildest dream.

He began to turn so slowly to gaze at his side.

"How dare you trash intend to walk out on me?" Sarah stared angrily at James, not even the slightest remorse could be seen on her face.

A wave of enormous anger began to rise from within James.

Anger that would cause great damage if it was to burst out.

He clenched his fist with all the strength he could muster, controlling himself not to do something he would later regret.

"Boss..."

Ayra became stunned.

She also wasn't expecting this at all.

Although she pretty much understood what was going on here, she never saw this coming for once.

Anger also began to rise from within her.

In their territory, someone had dared to humiliate her boss, who also happens to be the third most powerful person in their company.

What sort of person would she be if she couldn't fight for him? Also, looking at James' current expression and body signs, she realized that he might do something he would regret if she does not step in at this instant.

"How dare you slap my boss with that filthy hand of yours?"

The moment her voice sounded, everybody there finally turned their attention to Ayra.

They were just noticing her for the first time.

It might be because she was standing at the back, or because it was James their attention was focused on since the beginning, but nobody noticed Ayra before.

They couldn't help but become dumbfounded when they saw how beautiful this person looks

None of them standing there could hold a cup behind her beauty.

Their brain abruptly stopped working when they heard what she just uttered.

"You... You said he is your boss…. Are you mistaken?! This thing here could not even eat two square meals a day!"

Sarah spoke what was in her mind and the mind of her best friends.

Unlike their remaining friends that were there, they knew James the best, and knew the sort of work he does, so how could he be the boss of this beautiful and elegant young woman?

Ayra does not care what they think, so she is not interested in talking with these fools.

"Send these sloths out!"

James breathed forcefully after calming down a bit.

He knew the more he saw this thing before him, the angrier he would be.

"What?"

Ayra that was still planning what punishment to give this team that insulted her boss became stunned.

She does not expect this new boss to be this big-hearted, of all things she thought.

"I want them to be blacklisted from every Mcdonalds' branch in the world," James said slowly and quietly, his voice hiding a deep fury behind it.

Sarah and her friends had become completely and utterly stunned at this moment, they couldn't understand what James and this beautiful woman were talking about.

Ayra who has realized that her boss has already made up his mind finally sighed.

She dialed a number on her cell phone and told the person to send some security guards to her ASAP.

"Hahaha….."

Sarah suddenly burst into a peal of laughter.

"Oh… you think you are big shots, hun?"

"How dare you try to deceive me? You think I would be scared with this little trick of yours?"

She gave a ridiculing smile to James and Ayra.

"You…. I never knew you were a pretender like this in the past…"

She spat heavily at James and automatically ignored their threat.

"She knew James the best here, and she knew how much James love her."

'How could this bastard that is poor both in and out pretend to be rich and powerful?'

'Does he think I would be moved?'

'He could have found a better lie, though!'

Just as she was busy with her conclusions and thoughts, some men dressed in security uniforms walked in and matched toward them. They bowed at the beautiful lady.

"Good evening Manager!"

Sarah and her friends, "_"

'Don't tell me this is real….'

"You see these things here,'

Ayra pointed her finger at Sarah and her friends.

"I want them out of here at this very moment, whether dead or alive."

"Also, I want them blacklisted from every Mcdonalds' branch in the world from now on."

"Yes ma'am."

The men hurriedly nodded their heads respectfully without an ounce of query nor reluctance to her orders.

They knew they dared not, even though they are very curious to know why their nice boss would give such orders.

The men instantly gave Sarah and her friends threatening gazes, as if telling them to do as ordered, or else they would regret it.

"No… no… you can't do this to me… you can't do this… who do you think you are?! How dare you all embarrass us like this?"

Sarah yelled angrily.

At this moment, people began to take notice of the commotion happening there.

They do not notice before due to how few people are there, but now that the security guards came in, they finally took notice.

"That beautiful young woman is the manager here," some people pointed to their partners.

"I think those girls are being chased out," some people instantly got the gist of things even though they do not know the source.

"They must have done something that angered the manager for her to give such an order."

Feeling the huge commotion, Ayra told James to follow her, to which James complies to.

He is already feeling his eyes become stung right now, staring at the sloths in his front.

"No… no, you can't leave, how dare you bastards do this to me…"

She screamed hysterically and tried to rush toward James and Ayra that were walking away.

The security men instantly dragged her back and began to pull her away, in tow with her already embarrassed friends that were covering their faces.

"How dare you bastards, how dare you? Do you know who my boyfriend is?! I will make sure he got your manager fired for what she did to me today!"

[Wow!!!! What an interesting movie!]

James that was feeling mad and depressed by what just happened was suddenly interrupted by his humane system.

'You think this is a movie, right?' James questioned angrily in his head.

[Is this not a movie?]

James instantly sighed helplessly.

"You shouldn't think of someone like that again."

Ayra who was walking in front suddenly stopped and advised James honestly.

She thought James was sighing because of what just happened.

James could only smile helplessly.

How could he tell her that he wasn't thinking about Sarah anymore?

Not that he wasn't thinking about her, but not in the way she thought.

He was only blaming himself for being blind in the past.

'How could I have sacrificed so much for someone like this in the past, why?"

'I truly deserve this, for being stupid and ignorant.'

James decided to stop thinking of this already.

"Thank you, hope the documents are ready?"
