Chapter 12 - Another Misunderstanding

“Good day sir!”

Just as it reached James' turn to be attended to, the cashier instantly sat up straight.

She gave James a praiseful glance as she recollected what he did yesterday.

She could still remember clearly how shocked she had been yesterday when she saw James give a meal card worth $200,000 to a father and daughter duo.

Where would one see such people in this world?

Her eyes began to shine with bright light as she stared at him

Seeing this young girl that is busy gawking at himself, James suddenly felt a bunch of goosebump crawl over his skin.

He could not understand why she would stare at him openly like this.

‘Perhaps she has fallen in love with my handsome and charismatic self.’

James instantly blushed slightly when he heard that, he couldn’t help but retort in his mind; ‘Didn’t I take that from you?’

“Hello,” James greeted awkwardly and waved his hand in front of the daydreaming girl.

“I would like to confirm if those people I brought here yesterday are still here, or had arrived?”

“Yes sir… yes sir they are on the second floor.”

“Okay, great, how would I locate them?”

The girl turned to face a computer on her desk and typed on it for some seconds before turning to face James again.

“They are in the sixth room by the left on the second floor,” she said respectfully to James.

“Thanks…..”

She watched James leave dreamily, different thoughts running amok inside her head.

“Lady, would you wake up?”

Someone called out, snapping the cashier back to present.

She hurriedly apologized in embarrassment and resumed back to her work.

After reaching the room described by the cashier, James knocked gently on the door twice and waited for a while.

Just as he was about to knock again, the door was cracked open, and a tiny head popped out from within the crack.

“Hello,” He waved towards the little girl of yesterday who suddenly smiled brightly the moment she saw James.

She opened the door widely so that James could come in, and closed it again after he did.

Walking into the room, James saw the armless man standing, while glancing toward the entrance.

The moment he spotted James, the middle-aged man unexpectedly knelt heavily on the floor, stunning James.

He couldn’t understand why this man loved kneeling to others like this.

“Please stand up sir, you are making me embarrassed, okay.”

James walked towards the man whose eyes has began to ooze out tears at this moment.

“Sir, please let me stay like this for a while, please!”

His voice sounded raspy, and his eyes were filled with hope.

James could only helplessly leave the man alone, as he knew that that was what he want.

James did not know that the man who saw how the cashier reacted when he gave him the meal card yesterday couldn’t help but ask the cashier the worth of the card he was given after James left.

He had become stunned for a long time after he heard the card's worth, and he couldn’t react for a long time until his daughter told him she was hungry.

The man instantly wanted to reject it after he finally came back to his senses, but James has long left.

He could only stare at the card with fear.

Thinking there is no way he would be given the card completely, that James would definitely be collecting it back in the future, the man began to treat it so carefully, that it stayed on him throughout the night, scared he would lose it or someone who knew its worth would steal it.

He thought he was only given the card so that he and his daughter could have a meal, and it would be collected later.

He knew he would not be able to realize such a huge amount of money even if he was to sell every part and organ of his body.

He could only keep it carefully deep on him.

James stood by the side awkwardly, waiting for the man to stand up.

After a while when James finally couldn’t take it anymore, he spoke out.

“Sir, will you stand up already, you’re making me feel embarrassed.”

The moment the armless man heard the awkwardness and helplessness in James' voice, he became stunned.

He had never thought his appreciative gesture would turn out to make his and his daughter's life savior uncomfortable.

He realized at that moment that James is not someone who would help and wait for the person's gratitude.

Not wanting to make James feel uncomfortable anymore, the middle-aged man finally decided to stand up, making James finally sigh in relief.

“Please have your seat.”

James waved for the man and his daughter to sit down, also picking a chair for himself.

“Hope you ate well yesterday?”

James gave the little girl a playful smile and questioned softly.

The moment the girl heard James' question, her eyes instantly became huge and round

She began to nod her head furiously, also she seemed to be salivating.

James only smiled slightly at this, but deep inside, he was feeling a sense of Joy descend over him.

He knew the girl must have felt grateful in her way, with the way she responded.

He finally turned to the middle-aged man again.

He suddenly felt that his head would split at this moment when he realized he does not know how to tell the man he wanted to help him and his daughter.

He does not want to sound rude, so he became tongue-tied, and began to think of various ways to tell him.

[Host should just tell him directly, human with their ceremonies!!!]

James automatically ignored that.

He knew that the system is full of nonsense anyways.

“Sir, can you give me the chance to help you and your daughter?”

The moment the man heard this, his mouth became wide open.

He does not understand what James was talking about.

'Was the one he did yesterday not more than help?'

He stared at James with eyes filled with question.

James who does not think what he has done for the man is worth mentioning could not understand the man's thoughts at all.

He turned to look at the little girl who is currently busy staring out curiously through the see-through wall.

“What is your dream in life?”

“Hun….”

The girl instantly turned to look at James when she realized she was being questioned, her eyes dimmed a bit.

“I want my daddy's hand to grow back.

I want my mommy to come back.

I want us to have a house.

I want me and my daddy to eat our fill every day.

I want to go to school.

I don’t want my daddy to cry every day again.

I also want to buy sweets for uncle, to thank him for giving me delicious meals yesterday.”

Without pausing a bit, the girl counted with her fingers, making James become extremely sad and almost teared up when he heard the girl's wishes.

James couldn’t help but wonder in his mind what the girl has gone through to make her have wishes like this.

He only finally smiled a bit when the girl said her last wish.

James looked at the man and saw that his eyes has become completely red at this moment.

He realized that the man is only barely controlling himself with all he could from tearing up right now.

‘I must help this family,’ James swore to himself with conviction on his face.

‘For this girl, I must help them.”

After making up his mind, James pressed a small button on the table.

“I will give you most of your wishes, but before that, we should make one of the first wishes become a reality.”

Just as James finished saying this, the door to their room was knocked.

At this moment, the school platform has exploded.

Some people posted Videos of when Lean was advising James.

The moment the video came out, it instantly entered the top spot.

Many people began to sing Lean's praises, and how dashing he looks while cursing James for almost getting Lean into an accident.

Within a few minutes, it has gotten one thousand plus likes and comments.

“Guys!! Have you seen the video that was just posted on the school platform?”

A girl suddenly rushed into her classroom while breathing heavily.

Seeing that her classmates were only looking ignorantly at her, the girl took out her pink iPod.

She clicked it once and gave it to the person near her.

Everybody instantly stood up and walked towards the person, to check what was going on.

The video began and started with Lean's face, which looked handsome and elegant.

The girls' eyes began to shine when they heard what he was saying while the boys were only nodding affirmatively to him.

After a while, the camera suddenly shows James' face, making everybody stunned.

“Was…. Was he the one that wanted to get himself killed?”

Someone questioned uncertainly.

“I think so….”

“Isn't this the person that went crazy yesterday because his girlfriend dumped him?”

“He is the one….”

While these people were getting stunned when they saw this, many people were also becoming dumbfounded right now.

It was only James' friends and class monitor that got scared by the videos.

Although James' brothers were not together right now, they each began to call his cell phone worriedly at this moment from everywhere they are, unfortunately, it was switched off while Ruby was praying furiously in her head that nothing would go wrong with James.

The moment Lean who was enjoying a nice bath with some women saw this video, he became excited.

He started shouting happily about how handsome and dashing he looked In the videos.

After that, Lean rushed into the comment section when he was done calling his friends.

He began to read the beautiful and praiseful comments that were written for him.

The moment, these girls heard this, they instantly became joyous.

Carefully, they walked out of the bath tube and wore their dresses.

James who does not know that another misunderstanding has happened is currently enjoying his meal happily at this moment with the father-and-daughter duo.

Seeing how this girl was carefully eating her meal and also feeding her father made his mood great.
