                    Chapter Six

    Going To Class Amidst The School Ridicule     

  James was treated like an egg that might brake anytime by his brothers for the rest of that day.

After his friends took him into the room amidst different disdain gazes, they decided not to discuss what happened, apart from telling James repeatedly that he shouldn't think of Sarah anymore.

James truly felt frustrated by his friend's nagging.

He wanted to tell them that he was not hurt by Sarah, but he knew they would not believe him, so he decided against it.

Like that, they began to monitor James, as if scared he would run off or do something they would regret which was so unnecessary.

At night, the last of the four friends, the fourth bro was given money to go buy dinner which he helplessly complied with.

James could almost swear that the sleep he has that night was the most fulfilling and peaceful sleep he has had since ages ago.

"What's with all of you?"

James was suddenly stunned when he saw the dark circles in his friends' eyes.

'What is going on?'

Seeing the stun and confusion on their friend's face, the trio couldn't help but shake their heads helplessly.

They had stayed awake overnight to watch over James, in case he wanted to do something he shouldn't do.

Never would they have imagined that James would not only do anything but would even sleep off like a baby.

How could they tell him that they stayed awake because of him?

They decided not to talk about it then.

The trio laughed it off awkwardly; "Nothing is going on third bro."

Still feeling confused, James decided not to inconvenience them in case they do not want to share with him what was going on.

"I have a morning class today, so I would go shower."

James stood from his bed and stretched his body which gave a few crackling sounds.

The trio watched in silence and only opened their mouth after James had left;

"Do you think he was truly not hurt by Sarah?"

The fourth brother asked with squinted eyes.

"I'm not sure about that anymore, it might be that he was only trying to camouflage what he was feeling though."

"That's true, we should still keep watch on him then."

After making up their mind, the trio checked their timetable and suddenly became mad.

They have no class this morning.

Every one of them was in different departments, so their classes are scheduled differently.

They could only watch helplessly as James finished washing up and left for class.

"What's with those guys though, are they still feeling concerned for me?"

James muttered to himself, not knowing if he should feel sad or gratified.

"See that, wasn't that the guy that got crazy because his girlfriend dumped him yesterday?"

James suddenly heard the voice of a girl telling her female friends who were walking with her.

"Yeah, that's true, he is the one…"

"But don't you think this guy is like a frog that wanted to date a swan."

One of the friends ridiculed.

The three friends then gave James disdainful gazes before walking past him.

Knowing he could not clean the reputation off anytime soon, James could only sigh helplessly and go his way.

Along the way to his class, everybody he walked by would always point out to him, saying how he went crazy because his girlfriend dumped him.

Some people would look at him pitifully, and some would look at him in disdain.

James who always walked unnoticed in the past now became someone that has become extremely popular in the school.

He could only helplessly shake his head as he walked toward his class.

"He is here, he is here!!!"

James suddenly heard a loud commotion when he reached his classroom, he couldn't help but become stunned.

He saw many people standing by the door of the classroom.

He couldn't help but think he has entered the wrong classroom.

Rechecking the door, he realized this is his class.

'Why are they all in class this early?'

While James was still filled with confusion, he entered the class

Some people were looking at me strangely, with stars shining in his eyes while the others were staring at him angrily.

"This boy truly has no shame, he even dared come to the classroom after the scene he caused yesterday."

James heard the people staring at him angrily say.

"Didn't I tell you he would come, has he ever skipped his class before?"

One of the people with stars shining in their eyes laughed happily.

"That's right, that's right, where is our money, shouldn't you be paying us now since we've already won?"

"What are you getting excited about, I would give you your money!"

James instantly realized why many people came to class so early.

He became stunned when he heard what they were talking about.

He never knew that people would even bet on something like this.

The crowd acted as if James does not exist and began to distribute the money amongst themselves.

It took a while for that to finish before everybody returned to their seat.

"Guys, do you think Sarah would also come to class today?"

Someone suddenly asked loudly, making everybody turn their attention to him.

The person that spoke was Chris, one of those that loves to disturb the class.

James couldn't help but shake his head helplessly.

"I will bet $5 that she would not come."

Someone suddenly rushed to Chris' desk and placed a bill on it.

"I will also bet that she would not come today, she already has a rich boyfriend."

Another person rushed to Chris' desk and dropped his money.

Like that, many people began to predict and bet, not caring whether James was there or not.

The majority of them bet that Sarah would not come while the minority bet that she would come.

All in all, nobody cares that James is present.

James sat alone in his seat, feeling unmoved by this.

He has long realized that nobody in the class likes him, apart from the class monitor who would show him care from time to time which is how she does to everybody, regardless of their gender.

"Guys, stop, stop…. The class monitor is here!!!"

James heard someone called out urgently, then everybody in the class instantly returned to their seat and acted like nothing has been going on.

This is the class monitor, someone who was well respected and feared by her classmates.

Looking towards the class entrance, it did not take long for the person to arrive.

It was a stunning and tall beautiful girl.

Her beauty was so strong that it could topple nations, and destroy men.

Her face was so beautiful, and her body, it was so carefully shaped, the definition of a killer body.

Dressed in jean pants and a white cotton top, Ruby carried a black handbag on her shoulder and wore a white canvas.

Standing there and staring around the class expectantly, she resembles a model.

This is the class monitor, Ruby, Ruby Johnson.

She is one of the school's top beauties.

According to the list compiled by the students, she was placed in second place on the most beautiful girls of Dee's university list, only slightly below a student from the art class.

To top it off, she is very brilliant and came from a wealthy family.

Beside her stood a girl who was also beautiful, but compared to Ruby, her beauty is not worth mentioning.

She would have stood out had she been alone, but her beauty has now been shadowed by Ruby's.

A gratifying smile suddenly appeared on Ruby's face as she stared at James.

She could remember how scared she was yesterday when she saw the video of James.

She had rushed to the place the video was captured, but James had already left by the time she arrived there.

She was unable to sleep throughout the night due to this, which was why she came to school early today.

She would have even arrived much earlier, unfortunately, she was delayed by her friend who kept nagging her that she wasn't dressed well.

Nobody was shocked when they saw Ruby looking at James with a gratifying look

They all knew how kind-hearted she is, so they do not feel that James was receiving special attention.

After that, Ruby and her best friend who gave James curious glances walked towards their seat amidst the class's undisguised gazes.

The male students were busy ogling their eyes on Ruby as if they wanted to consume her whole.

They felt that it would be worth giving their lives for if they could date her for even a second.

The female students instead felt nothing but envy toward her.

They also appreciate everything about her.

Just as she was seated, another person walked inside.

It was Sarah.

This instantly got different gasps from everybody in the class.

"She truly came!!!!."

Many people began to mutter amongst themselves, but this time, they do not dare to cause a commotion, scared that they would get on the bad side of Ruby.

They all watched with focused attention, waiting for what Sarah is going to do, and what James' reaction would be.

She began to walk towards hers and James' seat, her face seething with anger as if she wanted to murder someone.
