GOODNEWS ALAS!

“Hello, Peter, you have the courtesy to finally call. So thoughtful of you.” Derek said sarcastically.

“I'm sorry boss, I got carried away by our victory so I slept off.” Peter apologized.

“That's really interesting. I'm sure you need my applause, to commend you for a work well done. It doesn't change the fact that you kept me in the dark!”

“As I said earlier, I apologize for a my insubordinate act. I'll report always from now on.” Peter replied repentantly.

“So what happened because Mario called and said the boy didn't do his part.” Derek asked.

“That's because I did his part, I have her in my palms and she's working for us now.” Peter said excitedly.

The joy Peter in sharing the news was commensurate on the other end. He was so cold and lackadaisical. He got what he so much wanted but his spirits wasn't high. Peter suspected something was wrong. Something else bothered him apart from the fact that he didn't report on time.

“I don't need to know the details, as far as
