Chapter 80 (Falling Into the Trap)

Davin paced his office, the weight of the day’s events pressing down on him.

Michael’s reckless actions and the subsequent family drama had put him on edge. His mother’s frustration was palpable, and the tension between James and him had become a new battleground. Davin’s phone buzzed, pulling him from his thoughts. It was a message from Grace.

“I need to see you. It’s urgent. Call me." She said, her voice blaring over the phone.

He frowned, feeling a pang of unease. Grace had been a reliable ally, but her recent insistence on digging into Davin’s business made him wary. He dialled her number immediately.

“Grace, what’s going on?”

“Davin, I’ve found out something that might interest you,” she said, her voice tinged with excitement. “Helen’s involvement in something big. She’s been meeting with someone from the IT department.”

Davin’s curiosity was piqued. “Meeting with whom? And what are they discussing?” He asked.

“I’m not sure about the details yet,” Grace admitted. “But I suspec
