Chapter Forty-One.

Mandy could not breathe. It was as if something blocked her chest and restricted her flow. What did the man just say? Did he really throw away the medication? Her grandpa will finally die, thanks to her bad decisions.

"Do you know the implications of what you have just done?" Declan growled. Even Declan was beginning to fear. Those herbs are very rare and the portion Billy wasted was the last. He had gone out of his way to get it the first time.

"It didn't look like anything important. It looked more like a dirty smelly mixture to me. Why would anyone keep something that dirty in a beautiful jar like that?" Billy pointed at the jar that used to contain the medicine. "I'm sure that jar cost a fortune so I would rather put it to good use." Billy shrugged.

Declan's hand folded in a fist at his sides. He was trying to contain his anger. The boy Billy was only but an apprentice. He didn't blame him for not knowing much.
