Chapter One Hundred and Forty-Five.

"What a disgrace you have become. I regret the day I took you in!" Mr. Gilbert yelled.

Mr. Gilbert sat on an armchair in the Chief Warden's office, his aura emitting rage.

"Sir. I am sorry... It's really not what you think." The Chief Warden cried.

He was kneeling before his godFather, head bowed and hands clasped on his laps.

He looked like a mere servant before his master begging to be spared.

"You are such a disappointment. And I will make sure you pay for bringing shame to my name!"

"Sir-"

"Shut up!" Mr. Gilbert growled, striking the Chief Warden across his face.

The Chief Warden's eyes flashed in shock as he held his face.

His godFather had never treated him that way before. He used to be very fond of him and never found fault in anything he did. What changed now?

No one knew the reason behind Mr. Gilbert's actions. Mr. Gilbert had received a call from Marshall Jones regarding a certain Declan King.

"If they touch a single strand of his hair then you all will be doomed."
