Chapter One Hundred and Thirty-Five.

"Did I interrupt something?" May asked walking up to Declan and Mandy. She looked at them quizzically.

"Not at all. We were just about to leave." Mandy said, pushing away from Declan. She had a superior look on her face adjusting her dress as she stood up.

"Tell your mom I gave my thanks for the dinner. Have a lovely night." Mandy said with ease.

She did not show any sign of awkwardness as usual to Declan's surprise. Is she perhaps trying to make their affair public now?

"Thank you again for coming." May replied with a forced smile.

Mandy turned to leave, but tripped on her heels.

"Watch out." Declan stepped in closer to her side, catching her fall.

"Too much wine." Mandy smiled apologetically, limping for balance.

"Let me help you." Declan offered, holding her hand in his and leading her out of the Williams residence.

May watched Mandy and Declan walk away, with their hands locked together and something twisted in her chest.

Are they officially together now? She asked herself
