Chapter One Hundred and Twenty-Eight.
"Who did you say is your master again?" Dr Kidd asked Declan over his shoulders as he scrubbed his hand in a washing sink. They had bumped into each other in the restroom.

"Why is that important now?" Declan replied, wiping his washed hands with a towel.

"Let's say I'm intrigued. What you did there was massive."

"But were you impressed though?" Declan threw out the question and it made doctor Kidd pause. Slowly, the young doctor pivoted to face Declan.

"Glad you picked it out because I'm a terrible actor and was beginning to get sick of it."

Declan gave a side grin. "We should all be glad we saved her." He shrugged and turned to leave but Dr. Kidd dragged him back, slamming him back to the wall.

"You think that's the prize? Saving the life of a miserable girl who wanted it gone at the expense of my reputation?"

The doctor gritted, pressing Declan against the wall with his elbow.
