Chapter Seventy-One

Declan walked into the house, closing the door behind him. Mandy watched as he walked up to the couch and sat down beside her.

“Why are you still up?” he asked, looking at the figure leaning against the couch gazing at him. “Don't tell me that you were waiting for me.”

Mandy sat up rolling her eyes at him. “Just tell me that you at least got rid of Jason's body this time.’

“I didn't see any reason to. Besides, I didn't get the time. The boy really knows how to get on someone's nerves.” Declan murmured and turned his attention to his watch. “Even keeping me with him till 1am in the morning, what could be more annoying?”

“But did you really have to kill him? I mean a good threat would have done the job”

“I didn't need to, I just needed the answers and he decided it would have been better for him to delay the inevitable. Besides, I already decided to kill him the first day he was introduced to May as a potential husband.”

“So did you get the money back from him?”
