NOCTEM White room
"Is that all you've got? Honestly I've got to say it was disappointing. Here I was expecting something different from you, it's quite a shame that this is all the death god of Syx amounts to." A young pale man spoke with a bored look as he gazed down on the figure beneath his feet.Below him was a slightly older version of the white haired kid who had brutally massacred his peers within the camp of the forest. He was badly beaten and barely able to move. His hands trembled slightly as he tried to reach for his dagger which was sprawled somewhere on the floor not too far away from him.The pale man noticed this then took his leg from the white haired teenager's back and stepped on the hand that was reaching for the dagger.A pained grimace quickly found its way to the face of the white haired teenager but despite that, he didn't utter a sound.Leaning close, the pale man spoke."I think I was better back when I was still a newbie at Syx, yeah I definitely was. I was just about your age
NOCTEM illusion
"My parents?.. surely you jest." Nox replied in an even manner, his voice betraying no emotion as he spoke. Although he seemed calm , his mind was anything but. The mist wraith who was resting lazily on the tree, was strangely nonchalant towards Nox who was before him. It was emanating a deadly energy that felt entirely different from mana not to mention, its aura was nothing to scoff at, Nox felt an immense pressure crushing down on his soul just by staring at it even without looking into the eyes of the wraith. He had noticed some kind of pattern in the movement of the mist entity, something he'd observed the first time he encountered it in the cursed forest and thus coming to a sudden conclusion. The first time he met the mist wraith, he had made eye contact with it, although the feeling he got while staring into its eyes was sickening he didn't feel like he was going to perish. At least not until the mist wraith itself tried to get him to look into its eyes. At that moment
NOCTEM Blood of the shadow god
"Tch! You damned spawn, you dare?!." The wraith yelled, a large vein, clearly visible on the side of its head as it spoke. Its hands remained on Nox's face, exactly the same position they had been before they entered the illusion created by the wraith. It took its hands off the effeminate child's face and proceeded to grab Nox with its left hand, it's usual carefree smile, now replaced by a contemptuous scowl."Don't think I can't end you where you stand, you only remain due to the complexity of your soul."Nox's body trembled as he barely suppressed a laugh, the soft chuckle which escaped his lips slowly became a deranged laughter that reverberated through the eerie silence of the white room. The mist wraith's scowl deepened, its confusion palpable, it tightened its grip on Nox's neck but that didn't stop the child from laughing maniacally."You know, you were right about something, wraith."His lips curled up into a wild unnatural grin, with pristine fangs slightly hidden behind his
NOCTEM Tranquil lagoon
The forest moved in a blur as the silhouette of a person whooshed by at an extremely fast pace. Eren moved quickly, carrying an unconscious Nox while running with inhumane speed unbefitting of a mortal. It had been less than a minute since he emptied the vial containing the blood of the shadow god into Nox's heart, Now here he was, currently running with the effeminate boy mounted on his back. The reasons? One might be curious as to why he didn't just allow his student to rest in the cabin. Well the answer to that would be due to the fact that he was currently being hunted by some unwanted guests who were after him because he had been in possession of the blood of a god a while ago, now that said blood of a deity was running through the veins of his student who was breathing softly. He increased his speed, maneuvering though the forest with ease despite carrying the unconscious boy. The cursed forest was a dangerous place, Not only was it home to terrifying beasts that pos
NOCTEM Unfamiliar
Nox's silver lashes fluttered slightly following the subtle twitches his eyes made as they slowly opened. His confused gaze was met with an unfamiliar scenery unlike anything he'd ever seen before compared to the grey skies of the cursed forest, it was a vast expanse of crystal clear blue sky with fluffy clouds. The scenery was nothing short of amazing and it was a first for Nox who had spent most of his life living close to the territory of the accursed forest, the sky was mostly gloomy around those parts but that didn't mean that sometimes it was never beautiful, however that couldn't compare to the tranquility of the sky his eyes were currently glued to. His tired body protested against getting up, even though it had been completely healed, he couldn't move an inch from where he lay, not to mention, his body felt foreign to him, it was a feeling he couldn't describe. There was no doubt, it was definitely his body yet at the same time it didn't seem like his body. Come to think o
NOCTEM Aries
The particles merged together, forming the figure of a tall entity with motes of shadows emanating from him. He positioned himself in front of Nox and Eren, his body — A rather slim, athletic build with precise body definition beneath the pitch black robe he wore — pulsed with an otherworldly energy, similar to Nox after he had been imbued with the blood of the shadow god. His eyes, like twin obsidian orbs, lingered on Nox whilst his face remained impassive and unmoving It was hard to tell if he was actually a living being or a statue as he stared at the effeminate kid with immense concentration. It felt like he could see past the physical body of the kid, going beyond his flesh and into his soul. A moment of silence befell them before Eren moved, standing between Nox and the unknown unknown entity. "This is strange, a first for me I must admit, despite having lived a very long life according to human standards." The shadow entity muttered thoughtfully, clearly speaking to hims
NOCTEM The monarch's veil
Tap-! Tap-! Tap-! The sounds of footsteps reverberated inside a throne room with each step carrying a faint echo that lingered in the vast royal chamber like a soothing whisper. The throne room was vast, with tall grey pillars rising upwards to an arched ceiling which was adorned with intricate carvings and runic symbols. It was dimly lit by the soft silvery glow of moonlight filtering through the large open archways at its sides which revealed a mystical view of glowing flowers beneath the royal chamber. Their bioluminescence cast soft dim lights of blue and sapphire in a beautiful tapestry of both colors. The throne — crafted from an obsidian material, sat on a dark stone platform at the far end of the royal chamber, absorbing every spectrum of light that came in contact with it. Its design was simply breathtaking, the aesthetic of the throne room, contrasted between dark, soft and simple elements, evoking a sense of solace in its confines. The footsteps came to a halt, a
NOCTEM whispers of war
RÁUVEIL ALESPANIA, CONTINENT. [Vlad castle] "Damn it Aiden, goddamn it!!! It's been three bloody months, three months!! and we still haven't found the Monarch's missing grandchild, Not to mention he could be dead for all we know, I mean it's the cursed forest, what child would be able to survive so long in such a dreadful place?." A voice that sounded so melodious yet carried a subtle tone of thuggishness, yelled in annoyance. Aiden merely spared a glance at the mesmerizing female vampire, who donned a loose white tunic of long sleeved design which didn't cover her abdominal section, to go along with it, she wore loose baggy pants and heavy boots. The top section of her tunic was revealing, the first three buttons were unbuttoned, boldly revealing parts of her ample bosom. His gaze turned somber and a heavy pressure became present in the room. "You forget yourself Cassie, you are not to question the lord's order." Aiden's voice was grim and his eyes narrowed as he stared at Cas

Blood for blood
Dust and debris rose as two blurry silhouette's tore through the air, their confrontation left within its wake, an array of destruction. The marionette of the space god slashed forward, aiming to sever the neck of the tenebrous spawn.Nox on the other hand parried with his daggers, while leviathan made its move, crashing its massive bulk into the side of the space god's vessel.Viktor quickly warped space, narrowly escaping the attack of the serpentine colossus however Nox was relentless with his onslaughts. He created numerous tendrils of shadows using the blackened rain as its medium. Each of them aimed at Viktor with surprisingly swift movements. They were fast, ridiculously fast, for something of their size. The marionette of the space god sidestepped, avoiding one of the shadows which was aiming to crush him underneath its massive mass, pivoting off his heels, he spun, just in time to avoid another which was headed his way.One by one they followed, aiming to flatten him with the
Fear
It was raining, yet no sound was heard, the familiar chatter of rain was absent, neither were the serene howls of the wind present. The chaotic battlefield which was once drowned by the cadence of their battle had become eerily silent. Everyone had their gazes focused in a particular direction. Their expressions, taut. Allies, foes, beasts, alike were all frozen in fear. A starless night, with an ominous downpour of black rain, a silence so palpable that not even the winds dared to move. Everyone there knew what it was, why wouldn't they? After all, some had experienced it first hand.. During the rampage of the shadow spawn, an incident none who witnessed dared to forget. "Y–You, bloody fucks, What have you done." Gregor, the marionette of the beast god stuttered. His body broke out in cold sweat as he remained unmoving within the onslaught of blackened rain. Surprisingly, nothing happened. It was without doubt, the same technique which the shadow spawn had used during the c
Chaotic battlefield
All hell broke loose. The battlefield was nothing short of chaotic, littered with countless scorches, craters and webs of jagged cracks across the desolate land. On one side of the battlefield Aiden was being overwhelmed by the sheer number of summoned beasts under the influence of the beast god's Marionette. Although they were relentless and their numbers were absurd, Aiden cut through each of them with a regal longsword of obsidian and crimson design, whilst his blood swords dealt ranged damages to the beast hoard. Unlike Aiden, Cassie was bold and brutish with her assault, she swung her buster sword with a frenzied but purposeful intent, forcing the golden dragon in his human polymorphed form to evade and defend against dreadful and devastating attacks. Only retaliating by launching a barrage of flames at the female vampire whenever a chance presented itself. But Cassie, despite the frenzied attack pattern she portrayed, dodged them effortlessly. Her speed was outstanding, li
The Monarch's vassals
"Crimson sky?.." The dragon muttered with a hint of fear associated with malice."T..The vampire monarch sent his damned vassals?" Seeing the silhouette of two human-like figures approaching, the flame dragon narrowed his eyes harshly, then hurriedly spoke. "What are you two doing here, you have no reason to involve yourselves in our affairs." Aiden said nothing completely ignoring the vessel of the flame god, rather his gaze was directed at Eren who was focusing his attention on the beast god's vessel. 'Eren von michælson, the monarch of witches?.. something feels very odd, he seems extremely weak compared to how he was during the era of chaos.' "Hah... How foolish, we have no reason? The fact that you're in this very realm is more than enough reason to kill you. I thought the Monarch's told your deities to keep their playthings away from this realm." Cassie spoke with a scornful look as her gaze locked onto the dragon's figure. The dragon sneered. "Yet a monarch stole the reli

"why do they get to decide whether I live or not? It sounds to me like the insecure ramblings of frightened children..""HOW DARE YOU, YOU INSOLENT BRAT!!" The marionette of the space god hissed, his voice laced with malice."..Are they afraid of me?.. it's amusing how shallow their thinking seems..""YOU..""Insecurities often lead us to committing or creating that very thing we're so afraid of.. but wouldn't that beg the question?, why are the deities after someone as small and insignificant as me? What are they so frightened of that they had their playthings hunt me down?"The tenebrous child lingered for a moment longer, moving swiftly and calm as the wind, changing his position ever so often. His rosy lip parted, revealing pearly white teeth and subtle fangs."Truth is, I couldn't care much about their motive, there are things I've yet to deal with, so should they interfere in my life with the intent of killing me, then they best make sure they execute it flawlessly else I will d

A disheveled Cassie gazed at the glistening lake with a detached look on her face, she had long abandoned her magnificent tunic for the mundane clothes which the townsfolk often wore. A gray cigarette hung loosely from her mouth while she held within her hands, a half eaten smoked fish on a wooden skewer. Her lips trembled slightly as she muttered. "Ah... It tastes like crap." She shifted slightly, craning her neck to stare at the evening sky which was slowly becoming dark. "That bastard, it's all that bastard's fault... I haven't had a proper meal in months. Eida, I miss you.. ugh.. damn it!" "And how exactly did you come to know what crap tastes like?" A teasing voice sounded from behind her. Looking up, she saw Aiden staring down at her with a mocking grin. Cassie stared at him silently for a moment. ..then scowled. "By eating one... Oh by the way I'm currently doing that, thanks to you, shitty bastard!" "..." "What? You suddenly don't know what to say after
gods vessels
"Curse this!!! That damned wizard, RAHHH!!!" A gorgeous man with golden reptilian eyes roared in frustration as he repeated the last five seconds infinitely. Besides him, a black haired man donning a black half-mask which concealed most of his face, was also in the same predicament, caught in a loop which made them repeat the same action over and over again, however unlike his partner the black haired vessel remained silent but his eyes gleamed with an overwhelming malicious intent. His gaze fell on the wooden floor of the inn where he saw a rune inscribed within the loop the cunning wizard had made. Noticing his partner's futile curses and feeble attempts to break the loop spell, he sighed, then spoke in a resigned tone. "It's a runic spell, it'd be hard to dispel even with the use of the deities' authority..." The golden eyed vessel raised a brow at his partner's words, with impatience getting the best of him, he snapped. "DON'T YOU THINK I KNOW THAT!!! For fuck's sake, we've
A little problem
The nightlife of the ivonriel continent was quite a thrilling sight to behold. Many structures rose above twenty feet, illuminated by the stunning glow of the twin moons— one of which was Azure coloured, while the other had a pale white glow to it. The market stalls were crowded, overflowing with races of different kinds, ranging from beastmen to elves, succubi and various human-like races, some of which were the witches, draped in robe-like attires and elongated hats which had pointy tips. This section of the ivonriel continent was usually active at the wake of the night—after all, the red light district made up most of the nelgeorgia city, which was one tenth of the moondale kingdom. Standing before a market stall, a cloaked figure ran his milky white hands across the various herb jars, aligned on the counter of the stall. His misty gray eyes searched the entire stall with urgency, watching if he could find the remaining herb left to complete his concoction. After a few minute
Prince of darkness
The hidden room behind the altar of the sanctuary of Tenebrae was nothing short of enchanting. It seemed more like a greenhouse—albeit a dark version of one. Each flower there was black, but had a subtle gradient of colors within them, some were black with blue hue at their tips, while the others varied from pink to crimson to amethyst and other colors. Most flowers looked like roses, while some closely resembled daisies. The majority of them were blood orchids and some looked like lilies, however they all bore a similarity, they were all black in color. The roof of the greenhouse was arched and the room itself was extremely spacious. Most surprising of all, was the soft white light penetrating through the black mirror-like material the glassy rooftop of the greenhouse was made from. It fell on the tenebrous flowers, illuminating the room with its enchanting glow and if one gazed deeper, then they'd notice the subtle glistle entwined within the glowing radiance. It was breathta
