Chapter 23

“That’s so sad.”

He commented. He looked around, hoping Gianni would show up because it was about to get awkward in the room with just the two of them and the old man looking at him like that.

“Gianni, tell me you majored in business but couldn’t afford to finish?”

The old man asked. He seemed to be taking breaks between questions to either gather his energy or he just wanted him to feel relaxed before asking the next question.

“Yes, I was almost done but my mom passed so I couldn’t finish,’’

He revealed hoping the old man would assume the mom he was referring to was his aunty.

“I see, so what are your plans now that money is no longer the problem?”

He questioned further.

“I already registered to take my post-graduate exams and I have every intention of going further after that.”

“That’s good to know. How well is your business handling skill?”

he asked. Nathan paused for a moment to consider the question before answering, he didn’t want to fumble before the man.
