Chapter 20: A proud and cruel city

However, seeing this is very inhuman, along the way to the palace, I saw several men being whipped by a woman.

He seemed to have made a mistake on his job to be punished like this.

"So sad," said Iris.

Since entering the city I feel there is something strange about him. But suddenly a boy fell in front of us. We immediately approached the man.

"Are you okay?"

The child only answered Lita's question with the words, "Hungry."

"Take this."

Lita gave him a piece of bread making the boy smile broadly on the child's face.

The boy thanked him and ran excitedly towards a warehouse not far from us.

We followed him and peeked inside the warehouse. But what I saw there was a sad sight.

The child was feeding his father who was lying sick, not only himself but there were still many people who had the same fate, they looked scruffy like homeless people.

"Sorry everyone, you guys go to the palace, I want to be here a little longer... at least I want to help them a little," said Iris in a weak voice
