Chapter 3 Meet knight Wielding Excalibur

We arrived at a forest after a long journey, there was a river flowing clear.

While holding the spear I tried to hit the swimming fish but as I expected, my spear didn't hit any of them, the fish just walked past me.

I can even hear them mocking me as a loser.

Iris who was sitting by the river laughed at me.

"Relying on your own strength? how should I put it… I think, you're the type to die easily."

"Please don't say that iris, this is all I did for you, it would be great if you said 'Fighting baby, you can do it' like that."

Iris who was sitting beside me was enjoying the fish I just caught.

"You can take mine too."

"Of course, I can find some more food around here."

Iris took my fish ration and ate it happily.

"iris?" I called his name and she looked at me.

"Do you hate me?"

"What's the reason I hate you?"

Eris just laughed at my words.

Iris returned to eating the fish in her hand.

"It tastes really good, can you catch some more fish for me?"

I don't know the name of this fruit which is clearly shaped like a red melon, the plant spreads between the bushes.

Without thinking, I started picking and piling them under my feet. I managed to pick about seven fruits, just in case we run out of food. I went back through the bushes instead of the fruit I found, I even found a girl sleeping there. The girl's hair is black in a braid at the back. Wearing full armor with sword and shield.

There was a hole in the armor and blood was coming out of it.

"Oi, wake up...are you okay?" I kept shaking him but she didn't act. At the same time I heard a strange sound from far away, it sounded like the hiss of a snake.

I stared intently far ahead, sure enough, a Big snake head appeared from there quickly.

I immediately carried the girl in my lap, while running but she was so heavy...

"What the hell is this! oi, wake up!"

Feeling the burden getting heavier, I chose to give up running and lay the girl's body on the ground.

I took the sword while facing the snake that was getting closer. It's the first time I've wielded a sword but I'm no stranger to this thing. I've seen it a lot in the games I often play... it's the excalibur sword. Maybe I can use it.

The Big snake managed to whip me with its tail and then emit purplish smoke from its mouth.

"It's poison."

While covering my mouth with one hand, I tried to get out of the smoke by running, the snake chased me like a mouse even after I outwit the snake it kept snaking its way through the trees.

"Damn, there's no way out," I stopped at the edge of the cliff, when the snake emerged from the forest he stuck out his tongue as he lifted his body up.

His big eyes reflected my reflection there.

"Ugh.."

The  Big snake took a stance and jumped at me. I managed to dodge it by rolling over while the snake fell into the abyss in the water current.

I just stared at him from where I was standing.

When I realized, I ran in the direction where I left the girl. He must be in danger, the marks on the armor could be snake bite marks.

I thought about that possibility, when he got there another girl was next to him, she had towering blonde hair with a half grown body, Iris.

"Heal..." a glimmer of light appeared on the white hand of the iris, like a moonlight.

Soon the blonde haired girl opened her eyes.

"Ah, Ugh...?" the girl groaned while holding her head.

"...."

"Isn't that my sword?"

"Ah, well... I borrowed it while fighting the snake."

"Snake? ah, Right! He attacked my army, where is the snake?"

"He fell into the abyss and was carried away by the current," I handed the sword away as the girl stood up, Iris also stood up.

"I see... the snake will definitely come back."

"I think so too."

The girl turned her gaze to Iris. Then he lowered his head once.

"Thank you very much for healing me, my name is Sasha Alisria Leonhart, may I know your names?"

"My name is Naoto, the future husband of this girl beside me, Iris."

"I see, you two are lovers."

"No, the two of us are just teammates nothing more." Hearing Iris' rejection hurt me a bit.

Sasha laughed at our behavior.
