Nightmare Apocalypse

First Kill

"Rooaaarrr" The figure behind me roared as the pocket knife planted itself in the middle of it's skull, killing it instantly.

"What the?, what just happened, how did I do that" I said to myself as I recalled how I was able to accurately hit the figure's head.

BANG

"Arrg, get away from me" I suddenly heard a gunshot followed by the scream I had heard previously.

"A survivor, I have to find him" I said hurriedly as I stormed out of the room, as I did, I failed to spot the sparks of green light that flowed out of the corpse into my shoulder.

"Where did the sound come f..." Before I could finish the sentence, I heard another scream coming from my right so I followed the sound until I arrived at a large door in the hallway, the sound was coming from behind the door.

"Ok here goes nothing" I said as I opened the door slightly and peered in, this hallway had only one light which was also dim so I switched off my phone's torchlight and walked in while pulling out my gun.

As I moved, I could smell a huge stench of blood in the hallway which showed that a bloodbath happened here, within the hallway there stood a figure with a gun who was pointing his gun at a zombie which didn't have legs but was able crawl.

"Shit, shit, get the fuck away from me, do you know who I am, I studied under Jackie Chan, I am a certified kung Fu master" The figure said as he pointed the gun at the zombie.

"What is this idiot doing?, just fucking shoot it" I said to myself as I observed his actions.

"You give me no choice" The figure said as he started shooting.

"What the.." I said with shock at the scene before me but not because the guy had actually shot the zombie but because even though he had shot, not a single bullet hit the zombie.

"Damn it this again, at least I tried though" The figure said with a shake of his head.

"Hey blockhead, the fuck is wrong with you, you just wasted all that bullets" I said angrily as I walked over to him.

"Who the fuck are you, did your mom make all those bullets, bitch" The figure said with mockery.

"The fuck are you calling a bitch, dipshit" I said with a frown.

"I'm talking to your ass you pink-faced small-headed racist piece of shit, just cause I'm black doesn't mean you can just say whatever you want" The figure said with anger.

ROARRR

"Shut the fuck up, wait you're black, oh I didn't know you were black, I'm so so.." ..." I said to the zombie then turned to the figure with a sorry look, it was now that I could finally see his full appearance, it was a black American young man around the ages of 25-30 years, he was actually handsome with a well built body, his height would be around 5"5.

"Shut your white ass up, you racist fuck" The figure cursed.

"Wait, what has this got to do with you being black, are you trying to make me forget the fact that you just wasted those bullets" I said with realization.

"What, of course not, I'm Rash by the way" The figure said, quickly changing the subject.

"You trickster, I'm Dominic" I said with a shake of my head.

"Watch and learn boy, this is how it's done" I said as I aimed at the zombie's head then turned my head to look at Rash.

'Wait, could he be a weapons master' Ron thought to himself.

'Fuck, I didn't hit it, damn it after all my cool talk' I thought with disbelief.

"Holy shit, you didn't even graze it, you weak ass piece of shit, just when I was starting to admire you" Rash laughed as he stared at me.

"Huh, it was probably a slip" I said with a frown as I aimed and fired twice, one managed to land a headshot.

"Shut your white ass up, hahaha, look at you thinking you're John Wick and all, showoff" Rash mocked with a funny expression that pissed me off.

"Piss off asshole, huh, wait can you see this light?" I asked Rash as I saw several green lights floating from the corpse onto the tattoo which glowed lightly, this had happened to all the zombies that he had killed.

"What light, do you also have an eye defect?, wow you are really one unlucky human 'being'" Rash said with an even heavier laughter.

'Huh, so I'm the only one who can see the light, then I have to keep it a secret' I thought because now that the apocalypse had arrived, all rules that applied before were now gone, this had turned to a cat-eat-dog world,.the ones who were previously suppressed would now turn into bosses.

"Hmm, so we are on the top floor, we need to get out of this hospital, I have somewhere I need to go" I said as I thought of my parents who I didn't know of their situation.

"Hmm, yeah you're right so what are your stats?" Rash asked curiously.

"My what?" I asked with puzzlement.

"Your stats, wait you don't even know of this, wow, were you born yesterday, don't you read webnovels and manga?" Rash said speechlessly.

"All hail the 'Otaku Master', are you a kid, nobody reads webnovels these days, you douche" I replied with a smirk.

"You ignorant fool, because of my knowledge in webnovels and manga, I have a bigger survival rate than you" Rash said proudly.

"Did that literally just come out of your mouth, you that can't even kill a zombie without legs at close range" I said with a stoic expression.

"If you say it like that, it actually makes sense so why don't we team up, you have the brawn and I have the brains, we would be the perfect com..." Rash was saying with a thoughtful expression when a loud roar suddenly sounded.

'What was that, was it just my imagination or did that roar sound different from the previous ones, this could be an elite, we have to progress carefully' I thought after comparing the roars.

"Let's go" I said to Rash as I grabbed the gun tightly and walked towards the direction of the roar.

"What do you mean let's go, and why are you going in the direction of the roar" Rash said with a frown.

"The exit is in that directiobn, duh" I replied nonchalantly while still walking.

"But there.." Rash said with fear.

"Wow so now the Otaku Master is a coward and a scaredy cat" I taunted Rash who turned angry and said to me.

"I was just saying that cause I thought you were scared" Rash said with a frown.

"What you just said makes zero sense" I said with a mocking grin.

"The sound came from the top there" I said as I tightened my grip on the gun.

"Maybe this wasn't a good idea" Rash said with fear as his hands holding the pocket knife trembled.

"Make sure you don't make a sound, I think I see something" I cautioned as I tried to make out a huge figure crouched within the darkness.

"Oh what's this?" Rash said absentmindedly as he bent down to see what he had stepped on.

"Is that a...ugh.." When he picked the object and saw what it was, he immediately dropped it and threw up.

"Shit what did I tell you, didn't I tell you to keep quite" I scolded angrily and as I turned back, I froze.

"Ugh, that is disgusting, hey what's wrong with you" Rash said with disgust as he wiped his mouth and stared at me.

"We have a problem" I replied as I pointed forward.

"What do you mean, there's nothing there" Rash said as he glanced over to where I pointed.

"Yeah, that's the problem, there was something over there just a moment ago, I turned my head for a second and it disappeared, from now on listen to every instruction I tell you, the first is to shut up and the second is to stay alert, okay" I whispered and as I turned to face Rash, I saw a slimy substance on his shoulder.

"Hey you can't just touch me, ugh, what is that?" Rash asked as I touched the slimy substance with the Pocket knife.

SIZZLE

"Melting, that's acid or ve...shit move" As I observed part of the knife melting, I suddenly realized something as I quickly pushed Rash backwards while also simultaneously moving backwards, after doing this I immediately aimed the gun above our previous location and fired.

ROAR

A loud roar sounded as I saw a figure above which shot a stream of greenish liquid towards me, I quickly twisted my body to the right in hopes of avoiding it, I managed to avoid most of it but I was still grazed by it, as I moved backwards, I saw that where we were previously standing was now filled with a greenish liquid.

SIZZLE

"Arrg shit, Rash run I'll distract it, don't worry I'll find you when I lose it" I said as I grabbed my left arm in pain while I also fired some shots at the figure which approached me with anger.

"Damn it, I'm sorry I am so weak I..." Rash said with gritted teeth as he got up.

"Just go dammit, I don't even know you, so stop being a whiny kid and just go" I said as I ran while the figure chased me.

"Shit shit shit" Rash cursed as he turned and ran unwillingly.

As soon as I saw that Rash was out of view, I calmed down and observed my surroundings as I ran through the hall.

"I need to lose it but how, shit this is crazy, I'm running from a freaking zombie something" I said to myself with fear as I raced through the hallway.

"Huh is that a door, if I can just lock it on this side, I may be able to trap it" I thought as I burst forward at top speed with a plan in my mind.

"Haaaaa, what the...it's fucking locked, shit" I cursed as I insulted my bad luck, the door was fucking locked and the zombie was approaching.

"Is this where it all ends, I guess I'm not the main character after all" I laughed as I stared at the approaching zombie but as I did, from the far end, I could see the faint outline of a human figure running towards me.

"Ha, a zombie decided to join the party" I chuckled at my shit luck as the first zombie came into full view and I was shocked by what I saw.

"A spider zombie.." I muttered in shock as I stared at the figure which had paused in front of me, it had a torso of a human zombie but from the waist downwards, was that of a spider, no wonder it was so nimble I thought.

"Should I kill myself with the remaining bullet, hmm, wait my parents, I can't die here, I haven't said goodbye to my brother and parents, no I refuse to perish here" I shouted as I got up and as I did, I saw a familiar figure running towards me.

"Rash?..." I asked as I tried to identify the figure but at that moment I immediately ducked to the side as where I was previously standing became filled with the green goo.

"Dominic the container, it's gasoline" Rash screamed as he threw a red container towards the spider which turned it's head to Rash who paused quickly.

"Wait, spider, gasoline, Rash you're a genius" I said with a grin as I raised the gun and aimed at the spider which also turned to my location as I aimed and fired a bullet at the zombie who dodged nimbly.

"Dominic here" Rash shouted as he threw the container towards the spider and dodged as green goo sprayed on the ground.

"Shit I've only got this one shot, I better not fuck this up" I said as I aimed at the container and fired, I watched as the bullet approached the container.

A smile crossed my face but disappeared instantly as I watched a white silky substance attach itself to the container and drag it towards the spider which made the bullet miss it's target.

"Fuck it's over' Was what I thought but then something shocking happened, the bullet struck a metallic compartment which deflected it and caused a change in it's direction.

BOOM

The bullet shot to the container and struck immediately causing the spider to be engulfed by flames.
