"Don't hurt them!" Kelvin immediately held the hand of Jaka who was preparing to shoot the puter birds.

"Why?" Jaka immediately turned to Kelvin while frowning.

"My mom says the puter birds is a bird of fortune," Kelvin replied, then he added his opinion. "Instead of killing it, we should keep it. As a sign in the morning if the puter chirps, it's a good day to go to work."

"Then how can I catch it if I don't shoot it?" asked Jaka. So far, all the people of the Ndiwek Tribe have never kept birds, because birds are animals that are difficult to catch without archery. "Can you catch the bird without shooting it?"

"I don't know if I can do it or not?" Kelvin had heard his mother tell him how his father used to catch puter birds, but he had never tried to use that method to catch the bird before, as he had never seen a puter birds in the town where he lived. "But I'll give it a try!"

"All right," said Jaka. "Then you can try it."

"Okay." Kelvin nodded, then he joined his right hand and lef
