Awakening Of The Serpents

Dunter stood at the edge of the school roof, contemplating suicide, but as memories of his life flashed before him, he realized he had a duty to fulfill. He knew he had to save his mother from her current condition. It was for her sake that he stepped back from the brink, withdrew from education, and distanced himself from everything.

He was retreating from everything and everyone, with only one motive to keep him going—the need to save his mother.

Now, he understood that everyone must step back in order to rise again.

From that day forward, he faded from everyone's mind like a dream forgotten in the light of day."

As Dunter fell back from the edge of the roof, he began shouting into the vastness of the black, dark night, with only the moon as a silent witness to his tears. He sat down, folding his palms, overcome with emotion. He had many dreams to fulfill in his life, and perhaps tomorrow he would find peace.

Amidst his tears, he whispered, "It feels overwhelming to hold so many dreams within yourself."

Then, he started shouting, "Brother..."

The dinner party escalated with each passing second. DK, Diana, Simp, Boston, Rose, Tommy, Haikyu, Tinni—everyone gathered around the large table, raising their wine glasses in the air. As the wine's color mirrored DK's motives, it was not pure white, but rather the same shade of red. DK knew that no one at the table was as innocent as snow; each had awakened their inner demons.

Observing them all, DK thought, 'Watching their joyful eyes, I felt an urge to burn them all in this grand hall. But they made my school days amazing, so now it's my turn to make their lives extraordinary. However, fantasies are not the way to go. They were seven, and I was one—a lone wolf, but solitude makes it easier than with a group.'

There was Tommy, the dark horse of the group, working at a parlor. Tinni, known as the group's 'poor boy,' yet a gangster beyond their circle. Boston, who hailed from a family of teachers but had more to him than just teaching. Simp, obsessed with soccer, playing not on the field but within the blood pool. Haikyu, a model, engineer, and fencing pro, enamored with Diana, his relationship dating back to their school days. Rose, Diana's closest friend, whose life seemed heaven-sent due to her father's wealth. And then there was Diana, the leader of the group—outwardly friendly and happy, yet harboring a devil within. She believed that embracing her devilish side wasn't a sin as long as she kept it hidden.

Everyone seated at the table was akin to a deadly, venomous snake disguised with an angelic face."

Counting the drop that fell from my eyes,

Counting the stars that I named with my wish,

Counting my mistake to fix it,

Counting the holy stone that I pray to be

.free.

Never felt the happiness that money could bring, but felt those summer sun that made my eyes bleam.

Never saw the life that I had to deserve,

But felt every hatred even if it's too much.

"Awakening of the Serpents"

" After that fateful night, Dunter left the school and took up various odd jobs – waiter, cleaner, masseur – anything to save money for his mother's brain surgery. The doctor had given him a date for the surgery, but as Dunter looked at the calendar, he realized there were only four months left. Four months wouldn't be enough time to save up the necessary funds.

Desperate, he checked his mother's bank account, only to find it empty. She had spent everything on alcohol, fueling her addiction. Turning to his relatives for help, he faced rejection after rejection. They treated him like a beggar, pretending not to know him and kicking him out of their houses."

After a grueling day of work, Dunter returned home and knocked on the door. When his mother slowly opened it, he saw her fully drunk, with bottles strewn across the floor.

Upon seeing him, his mother inexplicably grew angry and shouted, 'You again! Don't show up here... I mean, you always confuse me...'

Dunter replied, 'Of course, I always confuse you, considering you had twins and I wasn't the one you chose.' With that, he entered the house, the sound of breaking glass echoing behind him.

Turning back, Dunter saw his mother had smashed a bottle and said, 'Go away... Go away! God won't curse me or send me to hell. I'll relax in heaven since I've given everything to raise you, spending every penny I had. I'm done now; it's your turn to fend for yourself. It's good you left school; it would have been another expense. It's my fault for making you selfish. How can you not think about me? I'm like a god to you.'

With dry lips and eyes brimming with tears, Dunter slowly responded, 'Selfish is someone who hasn't even bothered to visit his own family in all these years. Did he even spare a second? And now you're calling me selfish.'

In a fit of anger, he continued, 'I work every second to turn your life back as normal. I'm only here to save you. I backed away from suicide because of you.'

His mother approached him, slamming her hand on the floor in frustration, grabbing his collar. 'Are you saying I'm not normal?' she demanded.

Dunter replied calmly, 'Yes, you're not.'

With that, he left the house into the darkness of the night. He walked through the streets, where the moon, his only true friend, was absent that night.

After several hours, he found himself in a park, where he slept on the children's slides under the moonless sky."

"In the solitude of the slide, Dunter came to a stark realization – he had no one, not even his own family, from the very beginning. He lacked help, support, and encouragement. From that night onward, he embraced solitude, finding solace in his own company. Even the police offered no assistance against the relentless bullies.

With determination born of necessity, he threw himself into work, carving out a path for himself in the harsh world that had shown him no mercy."

[Present]

DK thought to himself, "This world, it's like heaven and hell all rolled into one. Every person's got their own tale to tell, you know? Some folks, they're living the dream, in their own little slice of heaven. Others, they're out there, crafting their own paradise. And then there are those who are stuck in the depths of hell, just trying to survive."

Everyone was chilling at one big dining table in the hall. Diana kept filling her wine glass, and DK was showing affection towards her. Today, even Diana was a little shocked by his increased romantic gestures. Meanwhile, Haikyu was bursting with anger.

In the romantic atmosphere, Tommy, the black horse, chimed in, "What a lovely circular love... Why don't we have a couple dance?"

Diana stood and laughed, looking towards Tommy, "Haha, ahah" "You think we will dance for you? Che--- ahh.." Pointing her hand at her head, "Ahh. Fu- you can't afford."

Haikyu saw this as a chance and stood, intending to offer his hand to Diana for a dance, but DK had already extended his hand to her, and they began their first dance together.

Diana was fully shocked and shouted in happiness, "Ahhhh." She was confused and a little snippy, noticing DK's sudden change in behavior.

DK turned up the volume of the music. As soon as the music began to pump up, Haikyu went towards DK and said, laughing, "Ah-hah, I think you should know your girl's favorite music before dancing... not accidentally, but I know her favorite music, Ha-Ha."

As Haikyu was about to change the music, DK stopped him with a pointed finger and said, "It's my favorite music... so today, we decided to dance to my music, aren't we, honey?" He said, looking towards Diana.

Diana was already looking joyous and said, "Ahh-- yeah."

Then they started dancing, a couple's dance that Haikyu couldn't see.

While Haikyu stood aside and began smoking, appearing offended, Rose went towards him and said, "Didn't you come here to see this? Now look... what's even better is that it's free."

Haikyu, already frustrated, banged his hand on the table, but because of the music, nobody heard.

As their dance finished, everybody clapped their hands, and Diana called everyone for a dance.

Simp and Boston stood up, and as they did, Tinni looked at them laughing, murmuring, "Another secret triangle couple... haha... today's so fun."

Tommy, sitting and clapping her hands, felt two hands come from each side. As she looked, it was Simp and Boston. Tommy looked shocked and exclaimed, "Ouhhh... Two, two offers..."

Tinni, sitting at his place, said, "Tom, which one are you choosing... guys, give her some time to decide..."

Tommy looked towards Tinni and said, "I think I will choose both of them... isn't it going to be fun?"

Since Simp and Boston were close friends, they accepted it. Tommy stood from her place, holding a wine bottle, and said, "First of all, let's drink some wine and then danceee..."

And they all started dancing. They were all drunk, heavy, but Haikyu seemed a little heavier as he was just smoking.

After some mini hours, everybody was full, so they were resting. Diana and DK were sitting together on the couch, while Boston, Simp, and Tommy were sitting on another couch, and the others were sitting at the table.

Diana looked at Haikyu and Rose and asked, "Why didn't you two dance?"

Rose replied, "You brought his mood down."

Haikyu came close to Diana and offered her a cigarette. As she was about to take it, DK intervened and said, "Not now, babe, okay." Diana just left it, hearing it from DK, "Okay, babe."

Haikyu asked, "Why? Are you controlling her over a cigarette?"

DK replied, "I don't want her to end up in a hospital bed... but I can spend some time with you in the hospital."

Haikyu laughed and said, "Ah-hahaha... let's see who's sleeping on it."

Diana added her laugh too, "Aha-haha... you two are so funny... like rivals."

While they were taking a little rest, suddenly Tommy started doing something unusual. She stood up abruptly as if something had attacked her, clutching her stomach. She said, "Vomiting—" then rushed towards the restroom.

Everyone was shocked and confused. Boston and Simp ran after her, and seeing them go, Diana, Rose, and everybody else followed to see Tommy.

When they entered the restroom, they saw Tommy vomiting heavily. Simp and Boston were confused. Haikyu asked, "What happened? She was just drinking wine, wasn't she?"

Simp said, "Yes, she seemed completely fine."

Turning back, Simp directly asked DK, "Did you add something to that wine?"

DK replied, "Why would I do that?"

Simp then turned towards Diana and said, "Or was it you? You never seem to like her."

Diana laughed frustratedly, "Ah ah- ahahaha... Who is she that I would do that to? Does her sickness benefit me in any way?" She muttered, "Brainless."

Boston also stood up and looked towards Diana, "Yes, you two were never that close."

Diana, with an angry expression, asked, "Do I have to be close?"

Boston replied, "You and Rose always try to bring her down and belittle her."

Diana, looking innocent, asked, "What?"

Rose got angry, "Don't bring me into this mess..."

Tommy, in her bad condition, said, "Guys, don't fight..."

DK added, "Guys, calm down."

Tinni chimed in, "Haikyu... Wasn't he the one who brought the wine in the first place?"

DK replied, "This is my house, so I brought it for the guests."

Tinni replied, "But initially, I was a little surprised that someone brought wine by filling glasses inside."

Diana shouted, "Stop... Stop all this nonsense."

Rose added, "Isn't DK a policeman? Why would he do that to his wife's friend?"

DK suggested, "Before something happens, let me bring her some medicine. Take her up to rest."

Boston, looking towards DK, said, "Sorry, DK, I was a little frustrated, but I hope this isn't anything serious."

DK seemed troubled. As he was about to leave, he remembered that his car had a flat tire. He said, "Oh, great... sorry, but my car has a puncture... Tinni, can you give me your car key?"

Tinni replied, "Since you're an officer, take this," and handed DK his car key.

Then DK turned around and left the place, with everyone watching in slow motion, as if it were a scene from a movie.

During this slow motion sequence, DK's mind was filled with visions of his past, particularly of Tinni, who had tormented him all day, asking for money to cover the damage Dunter had caused to his car. But DK was on a mission now. He wasn't Dunter anymore; he is a keeper of death.

"Life isn't about finding a destination; it's about surviving any challenges that come your way. I'm doing my best to survive, and if life were about finding a destination, then my destination would come after the defeat of my enemies."

"DK was in Tinni's car, speeding on the highway. Lost in thoughts of his past, he pushed the car to its limits.

Murmuring to himself, "It's not that easy to end it all, you know? Once, I stood on the edge of the top floor of my life. But when I summoned the courage to let go, all my fear vanished. No one came to save me except for one thought... If I had the courage to end my own life, why couldn't I eliminate the one responsible for my suffering? Not dying to save my mother was one thing, but the real reason was that I was ready to bear the weight of blood on my hands."

Lost in contemplation, he kept increasing the car's speed. Eventually, he was caught by traffic police for speeding.

Knock-Knock

As the knock came from the window, DK opened it. The traffic police had stopped him for breaking the speed limit. When asked for the fine, DK claimed he had no money on him. The police handed him a paper with a specific date to pay the fine, which amounted to 8000 rupees.

DK closed the window and smiled as if he had accomplished something.

He smirked, "Today, I awakened three snakes, three venomous snakes... Can you guess who those three are?"

This isn't your typical revenge story; it's something deeper, more intricate.
