Sacrifice As A Start Of A War

Slinggggg~

The sound of fencing blades clashing filled the air as the clock struck 6 pm. Through the large front window, the warm hues of the sunset cast a golden glow on the two silhouetted figures engaged in their match. The entire room was bathed in shades of orange and red.

Slinggggg~

The figures were DK and Halen, who had met at DK's restaurant. A gentle breeze caused the curtains to billow gracefully around them.

DK and Halen continued their fierce battle. DK aimed for Halen's head, but Halen deftly parried his attack with his own foil and swiftly countered by sweeping DK's legs out from under him. With DK on the ground, Halen advanced his foil towards DK's head, securing victory in the duel.

Before at the dinner, Diana and her group were gathered in the living hall, with DK absent. Diana took the opportunity to address them sternly, saying, "If any of you dare to interfere with DK and me, I'll make sure you regret it, just like I did back in high school. I believe everyone here knows what I'm capable of, don't you?"

She smirk and then added, "Does anyone have anything to say? Speak up."

Just then, DK entered the room carrying a black bag and asked, "Did someone leave their bag in the bathroom? Is it Rose's?"

Rose glanced at the bag and replied, "That cheap thing can't be mine..."

DK simply nodded and remarked, "Cool."

Tommy chimed in, "It's mine. I prioritize beauty over expense."

Rose smirked and muttered silently, "Cheap."

"Halen extended his hand towards DK, who grabbed it and stood up. Halen remarked, "You're actually better than I thought."

DK laughed and replied, "Thank you."

Halen continued, "I think you're even better than my son."

Exiting onto the spacious balcony, Halen and DK admired the sunset. Halen suggested, "Let's stay in touch. I hope one day you'll surpass me."

DK laughed and responded, "Certainly. Now I have another goal in my life besides blood."

Halen inquired, "Blood?"

DK chuckled and explained, "You don't know whether I prioritize blood ties or financial gain in my line of work."

Halen nodded thoughtfully and remarked, "Pretty cool, huh?"

While Tommy was finishing up her client's appointment in her salon, she heard the sound of the door opening. Turning around, she saw Simp enter. "Busy as always," he remarked.

Tommy replied, "Don't have time to waste on soccer."

Simp said, "Well, today I just won a big match."

Tommy retorted, "That's why you're smelling gross."

Simp explained, "Since I have to come in time as I have a job aside from playing soccer... to be someone's daily Uber."

Tommy's stomach started hurting, so she asked her client for some time and headed towards her bag. In her hurry, her bag fell to the ground, prompting Simp to pick it up. However, he noticed something shocking inside— a pregnancy test. Upon closer inspection, he realized it hadn't been used. Just then, he heard the door opening, and when he turned around, he saw Boston standing there.

Diana sat in the 4-star restaurant, waiting for Alberto. Frustrated, she called him, saying, "You fucking bastard, how long are you going to keep me waiting?"

From the phone, he replied, "Turn around."

When she did, she saw no one except for a crowd of people. Turning back, she found Alberto standing in front of her, dressed in black with a hat on. He chuckled, "Since when did you start listening to me?"

Angrily, she shouted, "Shut up. Tell me why you lost your job and retired."

Alberto explained, "It's a long story, but you're the reason. You motivated me to find a sugar mommy and live the high life."

Diana laughed, muttering, "I'm not here for your love story."

Alberto then mentioned, "I heard your fiancé took my position, which doesn't sit well with me."

Diana complained, "That's the problem, and that old rat reopened our old case."

Alberto's expression darkened, "That's what worries you? I'm in even more danger than you."

Diana admitted, "I'm scared he might uncover more of our past."

Alberto's face fell even further, "Damn, I completely forgot about that."

Reflecting, he mused, "Why does this world feel so small?"

He then asked Diana, "Why did you target that officer in the first place? What's your plan?"

Diana confessed, "My mother said she won't support me financially unless I get a job. So, I decided to find a wealthy partner to secure my future. I want her company to bear my name."

She continued, "And she doesn't even know about my wedding."

Shocked, Alberto exclaimed, "You got married? Without inviting us?"

Diana pulled out a file given to her earlier and explained, "This contains information on my mother. I plan to use it to take control of her company."

Alberto asked, "But howw?"

Diana replied, "My mother's reputation is at stake. If it goes downhill, she might name me as her successor. If not, I have other plans."

As Alberto examined the file, his expression turned pale and sick. When Diana asked if he was scared of her mother, he laughed creepily and said, "I have many dates lined up. I'll look into this file later and keep it safe."

Alberto left the restaurant with a troubled expression, pondering, "Is everything just a coincidence, or is someone manipulating me through my past?"

Adjusting his hat, he walked away, lost in thought.

While at the salon, Tommy returned from the restroom looking pale and sick. Boston and Simp rushed to her, asking, "Are you okay?"

Tommy assured them, "Yes, I'm fine."

Simp glanced at Boston and inquired, "What are you doing here?"

Boston smirked, "She called me."

Tensely, Simp retorted, "I'm her regular Uber, I don't see any need of your existence in here."

Boston countered, "But I'm not her Uber, am I? Have you ever seen a couple being an Uber, sitting in the back seat?"

Tommy intervened, "Funny, now let's head back."

After her client left the salon, Tommy closed up and stepped outside. She was surprised to see two cars in front of her, one blue and one black, with Simp in the blue car and Boston in the black one.

They both rolled down their windows and invited her to join them, saying, "Come inside."

Tommy was confused and shocked. Boston quipped, "My car isn't as dirty as his."

Simp retorted, "Wet is better than dry... sick."

Boston shot back, "Your car must be wetty and dirty because of you that didn't even gives a time to shower... and it smells filthy too."

Simp replied, "I'm not as nerdy as you, stuck in the same place all day dealing with small rats and punks."

Boston countered, "Still, I'm in better shape than you."

Simp challenged, "Than Let's see about that today."

As they both get out of their car ready to start a battle, they both realized Tommy had already left in an Uber.

As DK entered his restaurant, he found the property owner waiting for him. Understanding the situation, DK approached him, and the man questioned, "It's been so long. Did you forget to pay your bill?"

DK apologized, admitting, "I literally forgot about that."

The man remarked, "That's a bit shocking, considering how excited you were to get this property. I heard you waited 7 months for this, right?"

DK responded, "Of course. Everyone has their motives hidden inside them."

Curious, the man asked, "So what's your motive?"

DK chuckled, "To clear my filthy past... haha. The main reason is I like the front building of this restaurant."

The man nodded, "Ah, that man is really big and powerful."

Later, as DK left his restaurant, he gazed at the majestic building he mentioned earlier.

DK, "That big building is majestic. The staff, and especially the owner, often come to my restaurant for dinner and everything. I instructed my staff to give that owner special treatment. After dinner, he heads to the private washroom and then back to his office. I've recorded that clearly in my mind."

In his car, DK called Diana, who was also driving home. He invited her for dinner, but instead, he sent the location of a club, surprising Diana.

Inside the club, they indulged in cocktails, with DK urging Diana to drink more. They danced and enjoyed themselves until they decided to leave.

DK instructed Diana to leave her car in the parking lot and ride with him. Fully intoxicated, Diana complied.

While driving, Diana suddenly needed to use the restroom due to the excessive drinking. DK stopped at a public restroom a bit away from the highway, and Diana, leaving her bag behind, went inside.

DK waited for 15 to 20 minutes, but Diana didn't return. After an hour passed...

'After 1 Hours'

DK relaxed in his bedrom, enjoying the tranquility without Diana around. The music blared, creating a carefree atmosphere.

Interrupting the music, DK dialed Haikyu's number, who was at the club with Tinni. Meanwhile, Tinni's phone kept buzzing with notifications, irritating Haikyu. He exclaimed, "Did you find another meal?"

Tinni chuckled, "No, it's a whole dessert."

More notifications chimed in, aggravating Haikyu further. He grumbled, "So annoying... turn it off."

Glancing at Tinni's pone, Haikyu noticed he was chatting with someone named 'Pretty.' He laughed, "What kind of name is Pretty?"

Tinni snapped back, "Mind your own business."

Haikyu teased, "Catfish dating catfish."

Tinni retorted, "Shut ass."

Suddenly, Haikyu's phone rang—it was DK calling.

Smirking, Haikyu answered the call. DK's voice came through urgently, "Have you seen Diana? She's missing. I think someone kidnapped her."

Haikyu, shocked and worried, snapped back, "Aren't you an officer? Find her! Can't you take care of one lady?" He abruptly ended the call and tried calling Diana, but her phone rang unanswered, causing him stress.

Haikyu called DK again, frantic. "She's not picking up... damn it."

DK suggested, "I've tried multiple times. Can you try again?"

Frustrated, Haikyu attempted to call Diana repeatedly, but she didn't answer. Unbeknownst to him, her phone was ringing to DK's own side, as she had left her bag behind.

DK persisted, urging Haikyu to keep trying.

After half an hour of futle attempts, DK called Haikyu with news. "I've found out who the kidnapper is."

'After 24 hours..

In DK's restaurant, a figure clad in all black, sporting a long black blazer and a hat, stealthily entered the upscale establishment. Making its way to the private washroom, the figure encountered a grisly scene—blood spattered across the floor. As he ventured further inside, he discovered the lifeless body of the CEO of the building in front of DK's restaurant, a fork protruding from his nec

The mysterious black figure was none other than DK himself, disguised as he carried out his clandestine mission. Looking down at the CEO's body, DK spoke with a chilling calmness, "You betrayed me, didn't you? You dared to challenge me, questioning how I could seek revenge if I couldn't even kill you with my own hands. But behold, your demise marks the beginning of my revenge. I've ended your life without dirtying my own hands. Your sacrifice serves as the cornerstone of my vengeance. Sweet dreams."

"In the warfield, the sacrifice of one body brings blessings to ensure victory in the war. And with his sacrifice, I shall receive the blessings needed to triumph in this game."

" As you said, Your death will be the start of my revenge. "
