"Wait, flattered?"

Jason shrugged. "Well in the middle of your busy schedule of studying, you can make time for me and this party."

"Well, that's..." Actually, what I said in class earlier was just a momentary boast to make what he was trying to do less important than what I was going to do.

But, I was the one who proved it wrong, and here I was.

Jason didn't seem to care about my continued words (as usual). Instead, he turned and said, "Walk with me," he said, still the same way he had when giving orders. "What do you think?"

"What about what?"

"The party. It's certainly no more interesting than your favourite world history, but--"

"I never said I liked history class," she said suddenly in an angry tone.

Jason never liked being interrupted. See, even though he tried to hide it, there was a twitch at the corner of his eye that indicated that he was annoyed with my attitude.
