113. The Look Of Terror.

After the emissary Evans pronounced the name of the new boss and it was Gavin's, he met a glare in Thomas' eyes. But it quickly disappeared and got replaced by a laughing face.

"Haha," Mr. Brax laughed. "I noticed that you have also developed a craving to tease the loathsome oaf, but please be serious, Evans. You know this is not a time to joke around, I want to be really clear on who this person is. I know my curiosity seems a bit unwarranted, but I really do mean no harm. It's just how I get when I am anxious. You ought not make jokes of me because of it."

But in Brax's view, the man he so expected to be joking, had on his face the same stoic structure he had had ever since he stepped in the place. There was no space for a smile. Not even the ones that he had been having when he and Thomas made jokes.
